OK, so I'm currently limited in my choice of background / scenery, but in the interest of keeping this going, I'll post. Plus, I posted the "Phone or camera" post here (and the thread in Off-Topic); and got a friendly challenge from RevMike, so I figured I'd post something.

I'm still working on getting good photos with my phone; took this while waiting on poke nachos at a food truck.

Yes, I'm quite a stud.

It's actually a very good Hawaiian truck near our house. Coincidentally my wife just picked some up last night in fact. Poke nachos and bulgogi - good stuff!

actually, this is the edge of a large ditch between two parking lots at work. it's the opposite of a nice area, but you can do a lot with a small area and some creative framing. when you don't have beautiful, sweeping mountainscapes like wartstein, you have to get closer and hide as much background as you can.



eta: here is the spot i took the picture, circled in red. you can see another parking lot and buildings just beyond the tall grasses.
