I’m in love with the way you sanded your DLC PM2. Do you think something similar is possible on the crucarta despite having full liners? I’m heavily considering buying one of these to contour it just like you did the black one.

Thanks! I love it too. It was hard to take it out of my pocket today.

I’ve been thinking about how to do the micarta scales all day today, too. There isn’t a lot of material to work with, so the bevel would be much smaller, but I really want to give it a try. Not sure if cutting or sanding would be the right path to take…. I’m really tempted to try something, but not being able to buy new scales for this model makes me nervous.

Magnacut Mule and Zome Dragonfly
Webp.net-resizeimage(8).jpg

My Magnacut Mule set unused since it was launched due to me not having bought handles or finding a suitable sheath. I bought the Mule to be used, and be my work knife, so I had to find a sheath. Hadn't bought one yet, so I raided my sheath box. The temporary solution was a sheath that went to a cheap fixed blade I was gifted by an even cheaper relative. Horrible knife, but workable sheath. I yanked the poorly sewn-on and thin belt loop off, and put it to use. It is almost unnoticeable in a jeans pocket, weighing less than a folder with a comparable blade. I will be going with the 3D-printed option for now until I get some proper Halpern scales and the official Kydex sheath.

Amazing picture!

I watched a documentary last night called The Alpinist, about an elusive Canadian climber named Marc-Andre Leclerc. Absolutely fascinating. The scenery reminded me of some of your pictures and I found myself thinking while watching, "hmm, I wonder if this guy carries a Spyderco, like Wartstein?!"
