I just printed it, works great! Especially with the rounded off heel "mod" I grinded in my Mule.
Just stuffed a elastic band from a medical mask in the sheath and now it does not make rattling noises anymore.
I also just melted the 2 pieces together with a soldering iron.

Great addition of strop. I’m still trying to modify the design to eliminate the rattle. Maybe add a belt loop or clip. Problem with clip, knife is top heavy.

I just got mine. I really like it for storage. The rattle is not an issue for me.

I'm glad it worked out for you. Nice color by the way. If you find that the clamps have lost some flexibility, try printing with "wall line count" set 8 or higher. That way, most, if not all the infill will go away from the clamps and they will provide a more lateral strength/flexibility.

thanks. i have a friend print it for me, so i think he just used the thingverse files. i'm really happy with it. it's much better than the cardboard and gorilla tape i was using. :)

Since I don't have access to a 3D printer (and no libraries around here have them), I'll likely have to use Shapeways. What plastic should I use?

I absolutely love this sheath
I am able to EDC my mules now thanks to the sheath. All you need is a lanyard and stick it in your pocket

I have only printed my sheaths with PLA. I think ABS would work even better. Soft/flexible filaments such as TPU will probably not work as the clamps may not be stiff enough to retain the knife. Let me know what Shapeways will charge for such a project. If it’s not cost effective for a sheath (more than $20), send me a PM and we could work something out.
