PRODUCTION VIDEO SAL?

#1

Post by col.hogan »

Sal, I would be extatic if spyderco made a video showing the process which goes into making your knives. As for myself and I'm sure many others this could be something very informative and interesting at the same time. I am not sure all people know and appreciate how much work goes into making these knives.

How many knives are enough? just one more.

We have a dealer/distributor video that you could probably get by contacting Joyce at Spyderco. It is not a step by step, but it does offer some education.

Hi Mundele. Joyce will send you one free if you promise to show it (lend it, give it) to someone that doesn't own any Spydercos.

Sal,

If that's all it takes, I'm sure we could all find someone who does not own Spyderco products. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Oh boy.
I guess poor Joyce is going to be overwhelmed with requests for these videos.

I'm on my way now ;-))

Joyce, I don't think the Col. really needs one. He's in Colorado, and can go to Golden and take the tour. However, for those of us in the Great Northwest, we're talking a major trek here. I'd share, I promise!

Hola. This is what I'll need from you....

Your full name, physical address and preference of VHS, PAL or SEACAM ~ email it to me at joycel@coloradomail.com

I know I've sent catalogs to a few of you before but I haven't saved any addresses, so I will need them again should you wish me to send you a video.

About the video:
It's approx. 15 minutes long, shows how Spyderco manufactures our knives, what role R&D plays, design philosophy behind several models/features, a few of the office people at work and Sal explaining the SpydeRench.

Hi Guys, just one thing, how do people from other countries (like South Africa) get their hands on such items as these videos and Catalogs, if you guys had to send them it would cost you money, and I dont think that would be a fair thing to expect from you.

Many thanx

Joyce,

Thank you for your quick response and I have kept my end of the bargain up and already shown this terrific video to a non-Spyderco owning friend. Further, I plan to show this video to others, as well.

The video highlighted the Spyderench and I realized that I have a problem with the one I already own. The two halves do not lock. In the video, it showed that the screw driver/file philips point is supposed to lock the two pices together. Unfortunately, mine doesn't and I wish it would. I plan to visit your facility the middle of next month.

Would you be able to take care of this while I'm visiting Colorado?

Also, would I be able to arrange a factory tour while I'm out there?

Let me know. Thanks.

One way or the other, you pay for your tools!
