St. Nick’s posted some good data on the sale of this exclusive:

“Thank you for everyone’s support on our Native Chief Exclusive! We had 510 knives available to drop with a total of 548 knives made available to us (38 went to either locals or store employees and around 600 total were made with the difference going to the Collector’s Club or Spyderco Employees). They sold out right at a little over 4 hours. Without this great community and all of the amazing people who support us, these knives wouldn’t be possible. All knives have been packed and are ready to ship tomorrow morning if they haven’t already been dropped off this evening. Thanks again and we look forward to bringing some more Red and Black 4V goodness to y’all!”

Interesting, I guess I was one of the 38 that ordered last week when I swung by the store. I would have thought there were more locals interested.

I thought about calling and seeing if I could get one pre-sale, but I didn't decide to snag one until minutes before the sale! I did talk to them a while back about trying to essentially pre-order one, and they said that was fine. We'll see what knife is next. I do enjoy the Chief so I'm happy I got one of these, really wish I would have got a Shaman back when they did that run.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty cool of them to let knife nerds in the local community get in a pre-order, although obviously nothing ships until the official drop. The Athens store is incorporated into a pretty good gun store, no reloading stuff, but a good selection of all kinds of firearms, even over the past year. Every time I go in I drool on their display of past exclusives, I definitely would have loved to get my hands on the Shaman.

Apparently they had 4-5 exclusives planned or in the pipeline last year before they got delayed or maybe cancelled, I'm curious what other interesting models were in the works.

Anybody that this is their first Chief or first knife in 4V...you're in for a real treat!!

How about almost $2000 on knives alone the past 8 days? Sheesh, when Rick drops those lefties, he sure drops them like a boss...I wasn't able to control myself and my card - not after waiting for so, so long to have lefty-dedicated versions of the venerable XM. And there's more blade styles in the pipeline too. I'm afraid another rabbit hole has opened and I'm falling through.

Ooooofffffff!!!! But, opportunities like that, especially for lefties don't come along often. One of those situations you have to bite the bullet if financially stable enough and tell yourself it's cheaper than waiting and in turn spending money on the secondary market for something (that's what I tell myself haha)

So in the last 2 days, my Umnumzaan arrived, purchased the ST. Nicks exclusive, purchased a small Sebenza, and just purchased a Norseman. I definitely am weak willed. Thank god my wife doesn’t see my cc statements.

Usually more of a Native 5 guy, but I guess that boat has sailed - Will be my first CPM 4V knife. Hope to find a matching Native 5.
