Finally my first PM2.
After year's of hearing people rant and rave about the Paramilitary I finally scored one second hand. It will be my first compression lock as well. If I am correct on my info this was a Exclusive for REC in CPM-10v. This will be my first go with CPM-10v as well. Don't worry I didn't go to Jared's for my diamonds. LOL! I am excited to give this a go but it might take a little getting use to. I have been carrying a Spydiechef for a few year's now but I think I will enjoy the PM2 greatly. Another good thing is when I checked some prices for these they were kinda pricey. I didn't pay anywhere near those prices. I will report back with pictures and my first impressions when I get it after Christmas.

I am with VoodooChild: For me also not perfect, but it just works indeed and I think everyone into Spyderco really should try a PM2.
Curious for your first impressions, and how you´ll like it - also the comp.lock (since it is your first one too) and how it compares to the frame lock of your Spydiechef in ease of use and ergos (both the knives themselves, but also the impact the different locktypes have on the ergos).

The PM2 is superb. In it you get Glesser magic from both Sal and Eric.

They dropped on 2020-03-18, satin and DLC with tan G-10, approximately 700 pieces each. Both variants sold out in less than 12 hours.JonLeBlanc wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 5:31 amCongrats! I think I was not aware of an REC exclusive in 10V.

Re: Finally my first PM2.
Took me a while as well, but so glad I got one.
Re: Finally my first PM2.
I heard about how good the PM2 was, so I finally bought one. Since then the PM2 has pushed all of my other knife brands out of my EDC collection. Now I pretty much have just PM2 and Manix 2. (I have 4 different variations of the PM2 and 3 different versions of the Manix 2 that I regularly carry and use.)VooDooChild wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 12:02 amThe pm2 really is a good design. It's the best rear pocket, tip down carry knife ever IMO. Lightweight in most configurations, perfect blade length for me and generally a super smooth action. Love them. Have nearly all of them... but it's getting ridiculous.

Great PM2s! I became a PM2 fan this year myself. I did a satin M4 Arctic from SMKW and a Maxamet G10 as well as waiting on a CruCarta PM2.

Re: Finally my first PM2.
Ok I have had it for a day. I can say right off the bat I love the design, compression lock and CPM-10v. I am still feeling it out but it's safe to say I like it. I carried a Titanium frame lock Military for years so the design is familiar to me. I will say this takes more adjusting to get the blade centered, blade play reduced and a smooth action. It's almost like something isn't square. I plan to get another regular PM2 in S45Vn or Maxamet in the near future so I will compare them. No matter what they will get used on and around the farm so we will see how the 10v does.
