How do you like your Hinderer? I've been thinking about getting one lately because of how much I love my ZT 0566.

I'm looking at the 3.5" Spanto Left Handed models

I wish I would have never sold my last gen 4 spanto. Still kicking myself for that one.
I realized I didn’t really answer your question. I seem to prefer Hinderer to CRK or Strider. I’ve tried a few of each and for some reason keep coming back to Hinderer and I’m not entirely sure I know why. :thinking Might be because I wanted one for soooo long and until the last few years they weren’t as readily available. (It wasn’t that long ago the prices were double on the secondary)
Don’t buy one if you’re looking for good cutting geometry, that’s for sure. The spanto’s are thicc.

I appreciate your insight! I've only ever owned Spyderco's, Benchmade's, and recently a few ZT's. So I was curious how a Hinderer would compare to a CRK or Strider. I think an XM-18 Spanto would be prefect for me as most of cutting is more rugged than delicate. I score a lot of cable, cut rope, use my knives for field dressing game and various other things but none of which are too intricate. My knives also get dirty and wet frequently.

ImageThis is my special order Randall 21. When I got the 20 I had to send it to them to make a lefty sheath. They sent me a catalog so did a special order for the 21. Took 6 months to get it, now it’s years . How times have changed. Just doing a tuneup today . MG2
Hi, I assume you know that Spyderco are Randall dealer's ?
One of the few..
That 6 month wait has stretched out to 6+ years now.
Still classy knives that have to be in hand, to appreciate that "extra" something...

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Yes I am fully aware of Spyderco dealing Randall knives . I got my Randall’s long before I ever owned a Spyderco . I dealt directly with Randall for this 21 , it was a special order . If you look at blade you will see an S which designates optional steel . The stag handles were another option . The origins of Randall is very fascinating . MG2

I feel like if I go a week without a CRK in my pocket, I'm doing myself a disservice!
