Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
finally got around to dying this one. left the scales a little lighter than my DLC version.
excited to see how it looks in a few months once it has a patina.

I love me some nice micarta but I have to give credit to Josh for designing these Mule scales they fit my hand like a glove and are super comfy in use...and I can print as many as I want on my wife's printer.

ARK and Chief today.
The Chief did an awesome job slicing up the last jalapeños of the season.

Not today, but last weekend I took the Stretch, the Gunny Hunter LT, and the Huntsman with me on a trip to the Sierra Nevada to look for some frozen alpine lakes. No ice (well, not enough to skate on anyway), but plenty of snow.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Two first days of CC skiing this season. Yay, good times!
I usually default to something salty for CC skiing, but the air is really cold (-13C) and dry, and I have to keep a reduced pace because it’s only a thin layer of very light powder, so it’s very easy to hit some gravel if I’m not careful. So with little chance of humidity from the elements or my own sweat, I opted for the slightly less stainless CS P3. With the thick mitts I had to hold really far back on the handle to even reveal a tiny bit of handle.
