most awesomely bad spyderco thread award

#1

Post by clovisc »

okay -- i've been here about a year now, and i've seen some pretty awesomely bad threads about spydies... throwing them, destroying them (accidentally, or with odd mods), people accidentally injuring themselves with them, people accidentally destroying their pants with karambits :D ...

what do you guys think the most awesomely bad spyderco thread ever is???

(...and let's leave the troll-related threads out of it...)

my pick -- the thread about playing with knives in the bathroom, on the toilet, started, if i remember correctly, by our own jimmy dean!!! i remember someone responded saying "remind me never to buy a knife from you..."!!!

I remember not to long ago a post about being drunk and dropping an open Military on his leg.

It has a nice bloody picture in it as well. :D

But that bathroom thread was a good one also. :p

Jimmy, I'm here to save your day! Do you remember some dude about a year ago who post for revue request about the scorpius.

He wanted to know how well that knife was cutting trough actual tog's clothes. He also wanted to know if he had to go for the plainEdge or the spyderEdge.

That was the worst thing I've ever read on this forum! There is absolutely no question about it!

Now, wait a minute. If I recall there was a thread started by a guy who posted a picture of him holding a half-open Millie...with his pinkie finger jambed through the spyder-hole...and he considered it a legitimate MBC grip.

At the time it hurt to see the pic (almost as much as the pic of the guy who had ground the kinetic ramp off his gunting) what hurt worse was the explanation of how his Martial Arts instructor thought the grip...was a good idea.

just my 2 cents.
