most awesomely bad spyderco thread award
okay -- i've been here about a year now, and i've seen some pretty awesomely bad threads about spydies... throwing them, destroying them (accidentally, or with odd mods), people accidentally injuring themselves with them, people accidentally destroying their pants with karambits :D ...
what do you guys think the most awesomely bad spyderco thread ever is???
(...and let's leave the troll-related threads out of it...)
my pick -- the thread about playing with knives in the bathroom, on the toilet, started, if i remember correctly, by our own jimmy dean!!! i remember someone responded saying "remind me never to buy a knife from you..."!!!

Remember Dean, as long as they spell your name right, there's no such thing as BAD publicity! :D

Really? I just re-read your knifesturbate in the bathroom? thread .... all 4 pages of it. What a hoot! Good luck Dean :DJimmy_Dean wrote:don't worry, guys, I'm already on the case. I'm looking hard for a thread worst than my own so you can all say "Oh yeah right, Dean's thread was not so bad after all" :D
To every complex problem, there are numerous, simple, easy-to-understand wrong answers.
I know one that was worst than Jimmy's.... Uh no wait, just read it again, not half as bad... Oh wait, I'm thinking of this one about.. No, again, not as bad... How about.... No, yet again... Well Jimmy, I guess You are alone in your stardome

Jimmy, I'm here to save your day! Do you remember some dude about a year ago who post for revue request about the scorpius.
He wanted to know how well that knife was cutting trough actual tog's clothes. He also wanted to know if he had to go for the plainEdge or the spyderEdge.
That was the worst thing I've ever read on this forum! There is absolutely no question about it!

Now, wait a minute. If I recall there was a thread started by a guy who posted a picture of him holding a half-open Millie...with his pinkie finger jambed through the spyder-hole...and he considered it a legitimate MBC grip.
At the time it hurt to see the pic (almost as much as the pic of the guy who had ground the kinetic ramp off his gunting) what hurt worse was the explanation of how his Martial Arts instructor thought the grip...was a good idea.
just my 2 cents.
