I'd strongly prefer the standard liner lock.

Very nice, but the K390 and Micarta scales, for me would be best on a sage 5.
SCARAMOUCHE!

I prefer the liner lock Millie.

I only have one millie - an older SE S30V. I'd love to grab another one and this combo would be awesome

I voted no, but as we all know, in the knife world, that's just a maybe that's somewhat less likely to happen.
The Military is quite likely too big for me to see any regular use, so if I ever decide to get one, it will definitively be only one.
And that one needs to have the signature linerlock of the Military. There's no way around that.
As for the rest..
Micarta is always good.
K390 I have no experience with, but so many forumites can't be wrong. I say it's good.

I also thought the military was too big for regular use, but when I got mine it immediately took over the pocket. The light weight and slim profile really make it very very pocket friendly. Highly recommended!aicolainen wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 4:08 pmThe Military is quite likely too big for me to see any regular use, so if I ever decide to get one, it will definitively be only one.

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

I would probably buy any new version of the military, especially a sprint or exclusive.

Love the steel idea, even the color, but I prefer the materials and design of the regular Military. Plus as others have said, wouldn’t want to pay for the RIL and titanium. Likely a K390 version in standard layout wouldn’t cost much more than the S30V.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy a K390 Military, Featuring Green Canvas Micarta and a Titanium Reeve Integral Lock?
A definite no for me. This knife would be limited to right handed use only given that RILs have a bias to right handers. There are locks out there that are stronger and more ambi-friendly, I could even argue that the current liner lock Millie would be more ambidextrous if only there were 4 way clip holes.

I can’t say if I would get it. But it would peak my interest.
Re: Poll: Would You Buy a K390 Military, Featuring Green Canvas Micarta and a Titanium Reeve Integral Lock?
Same here. Two composite scales with nested liner lock is lighter, has better grip than the RIL Ti slab.RandomNick wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 11:56 amNo, I don't like framelocks. Make it a liner lock with micarta for both scales and I'd be on that like a fat kid on a cupcake.

Standard Military. K390, I like the green.

Nah, not really a fan of Ti. A regular Military with Micarta and K390 for sure though

Yes!
I’ll most likely buy any K390 Military regardless of scales.
I like the frame locks, but prefer the liner locks.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy a K390 Military, Featuring Green Canvas Micarta and a Titanium Reeve Integral Lock?
Green Canvas Micarta - Yes! This is one of my favorite scale materials and I'd love to see it on all the knives.
Titanium Frame Lock - No. I don't love frame locks and I especially dislike having dissimilar scale materials. It always looks to me like the one side is unfinished, or that the scale fell off to reveal moving parts. I'd prefer a compression lock or a regular liner lock, followed by a back lock or axis-style lock.
K390 - No. Hard pass. People say it holds a great edge and is relatively nice to sharpen. I'll never find out. I need my EDC gear to be stainless. It might only matter once in a while but that said, why even entertain the possibility?

Haven’t jumped on the Millie train yet but I’d buy that one in a heartbeat.

No, but I would by a straight spine Stretch XL back lock in K390 and green micarta.

I would kill for that knife also.
My Stretch Scales are still somewhere between Europe and California.
