Civillian typo

#1

Post by recoil »

Well, I know we don't want to admit it, but even Spyderco screws up sometimes :)
Anyone else ever spot a typo? First I've seen in 20 plus years.

The old collector in me says thats a good snag. It looks like the sku sticker is on the soft case. Do you have the original box? How is it on that? Nothing to increase value but a nice curio and insight into factory activity.

Those stickers could be old enough to where the operator had to type in the information for each use. Now days, it's all programed, or at least you hope so.

Greencobra.

The sticker is affixed to the spyderco pouch that this early G10 linerless civilian (or is it a civillian) originally came in.
Another identical one I have also has the sticker on the pouch but that one is spelled correctly.

The Solo "Button" Lock has the word mispelled as the Solo "Botton" Lock on the box. If I can get a pix of it I'll post it. ;)

Now imagine if things got really messed up and you ended up carrying a Spyderco Ci villain.

Hiya Recoil,

I love it! We've made more than a few typos before. We released a steel chart once that referred throughout to carbon as cabon. Big booboo when you place a print ads everywhere with the incorrect phone number, yes we did! Pobody's Nerfect and I would be afraid if we were :)
