The American Bison knife has a blade thickness of 4mm and 260g. You can wear it only with a knickerbocker.

I prefer an austrian calf.
2mm 80g. If the shape is like a Para 3 I would not say no ;)

Well, I am with you on that! And in 2mm stock the Para 3 would be a lot more appealing to me! :) (Though 2mm could start to offer a bit too little interface for the comp lock? Even Ikuchi and Watu are 2.5)
Top three going by pocket-time (update October 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endela SE (VG10), Manix 2 LW (REX45)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1)

I'm sitting here debating whether I should feel selfish for wanting a knife that fits my size preference or annoyed that laws I've never been bound by could determine what we get.

But, Vivi, a UKPK (make it a Salt and perhaps SE) would really not be too bad, right?

Legal almost everywhere, "nice", but still a great performer with a thin and not too short blade and extremely light (1.7oz, about the weight of the Bm Mini Bugout!)

So: A nice "urban" carry, but also something to throw in a pack just in case or as a backup and not feel the weight at all or carry on a run IWB. I really could see it competing with my Chap in the latter role...
A little bit for everyone, somehow, perhaps?

Sure: A large locking folder is still what I´d prefer, but a UKPK is something I´d certainly actually carry and use

Great point Doc Dan. A Lil Native slipjoint in SPY27 or S90V would be cool.

^^ This.

It's a small knife (needs little space in stock), should work with legal requirements in most countries of the world. It's another model to promote the company's exclusive own steel. And It's an existing design that is in production! No redesign! Should be relatively easy to squeeze into the production calendar, compared to other proposals. All it would need to be a true Forum Knife is a special pamphlet, and sales exclusively through online SFO.

Ask me, and the Enuff "wants" to be a knife with much thinner, but perhaps a tad longer blade...So certainly not a Lil Native, which is more of what the Enuff should NOT be ;)

Just kidding, no offense and totally subjective of course! :)
But it shows the problem with consensus on a forum knife: Sure, I never thought I could settle on a non locking small folder, but now the UKPK would be really ok for me.
The Lil Native though would be too much. One of the few Spydies that does not much right for my personal preferences (though it admittedly has some cool factor  ).. and perhaps a bit too specialized for a forum knife in the unusual combination of small, but bulky size and thick blade?

There's already a few threads about requesting a forum knife floating around the past month or two. The Shaman is too big to be carried legally, universally for all members of the forum. A lot of people don't want a knife that big anyways (I have 3 and wouldn't be against it) but it's a slim to none chance.
Last one was pm2 so it is possible right? That would be a neat one but the price would be an issue for some for sure. Make it in micarta and the problem maybe less
Yep, you are correct. I believe Sal himself, or maybe Kristi said something a year or two ago that sales on that knife were kind of slow though? I don't know if it was because of the size of the knife, or people didn't like the inlays maybe? But I'm sure having a forum knife sitting around in inventory causes some issues!

A UKPK would get my vote, as I have said many times. However, the Lil Native I would also be okay with. It is small, yet rugged. It is not as good of a cutter, but it would be a Techno any day. It would still be legal in most places. That is what a lot of people miss: legal in the most places. I know a lot of people would like a chance at a forum knife, but they cannot carry it, and in some places maybe not even own it (not sure about that part). I realize Sal and Co. are making a 3.5" CPK, but the folks in the UK and places with a 3" limit would not benefit. In the UK no locking knives and in Germany locking and one hand opening are not allowed (but one or the other is okay).

Yes, that´s true and beyond crazy. I always feel sorry for my German neighbours! A DFly is illegal there, but if one disables the lock on the meanest one-hand-opening-fighting-killer-dagger-folder they may carry it... Oh man...

I should stop here, but it is just so weird:
If ever at all one reads of knife crimes in the media, I think those happen unproportionally often in the UK... one of the European countries with the strictest knife laws.
Here in Austria we can carry what we like. Knife crimes are REALLY rare here, and IF one happens, the crime weapon of course is the typical larger kitchen knife, which is legal everywhere anyway...
And one who is actually determined to murder with a knife: Sure, such a person will certainly STRICTLY obey the (knife) law and make sure to kill only with a non locking folder...

Some of the knife laws are just insane.

Anyway, I'll second the idea for a denim maxamet Military.

A slipjoint Lil Native or UKPK would be alright too. Honestly, I just didn't care for the inlays on the last forum knife and I already had too many PM2s.

I'd be a lot more interested in the Maxamet Military suggested :)

The Military does seem due for a sprint of some sort. Historically they've run them in just about every steel out there. Would be a fun platform for me to try Spy27 in because it would see a lot of use.

That said the UKPK is a good model. EDC'd one for a few years back when they were only made in G10/S30V. I've thought about ordering the Salt version but with how light and compact the LC Pacifics are I doubt I'd ever reach for a UKPK over one.

As much as I would like a Ti/Vanax Autonomy 2 as a forum knife any SLIPIT would be nice.

How about a Slip Joint Chaparral with OD Green Micarta.
