Kristi, that was the best Byte I've received. I can't wait to get one. Thanks for pointing out this cool program.

New to the forum but not to Spyderco, but this is my first time hearing about the Mule Team. How do the drops usually work? Are they specified ahead of time?

In the past, they have posted an announcement here a week or two in advance letting us know exactly when they will go live, the price and purchase limit if any (usually limited to 2 max). That gives us a bit of lead time to get our stuff together. They are sold only through the Spyderco Factory Outlet online or by phone.

I hope the presence of the article in the January Byte indicates we're getting close to release.

Edit: I'm finally off double-secret probation. This post didn't need to be approved first.

I was thrilled (a word I don't often use) to see the Mules featured in the recent "Byte". I am equally pleased to see this special mule dedicated forum come to life. All very exciting. And just this week I dragged (drug?) this bandsaw out of the shed that I expect to fix up just to help me making mule team handles. So everything is coming up mules these days.

My biggest worry is that these next releases will sell out faster than I can reach over and grab my mouse, but we will see.

I wish the SPY27 mule would just be a permanently available item, not a one time limited run. Would that be too much to ask?

I want the dang patch thing as much as I want the knife...(almost)

Seriously though, Spy27 and maybe a Vanax( ;) ) one WILL BE MINE!

I’m looking forward to putting the SPY27 Mule to work.

And the Z-Max steel looks really interesting too. :)

I loved January’s Byte!
Hopefully I can get some of the upcoming Mules to test out myself!
