Im new to the forums so i appplogize if this has been covered. I keep looking at the mule team knives waiting for them to be released. Is that how it works? Just keep looking back until they r available? Is there any way i can assuredly get one?

Hi Sivadma,

Welcome to our forum.

Mule teams are made mostly for our customers to be able to compare steels, assemble their own knives and share information. A lot of the steels that we use began with a Mule Team. They are sold only consumer direct to keep the costs as low as possible. We do announce them in "Reveals", but the best way to actually learn of their release will be on this forum.

We don't make a lot of them, usually about 600 pcs. Usually about 4 times per year. They were popular for a while and when interest slowed, we stopped making them. Now we have brought them back due to requests. We also have some very special and unusual steels coming down the pike in Mule Teams.

Kristi has added a new forum topic just for Mule Teams which is now live.

I will join. I am a Spyderco mule fan by luck. The only Mule that I own came from Darby and Chad from this forum.

I'm also looking for the Mule Team forum topic, if anyone spots it. :)

Just got some Ringed Gidgee from Austria today, so I'm excited to see what I can do with it. Weird that it grows in such an alpine climate... ;)

Sorry 'bout that.

Kristi said she's setting up a Mule Team topic section. She didn't say when it would go live, so I don't know. She said it was live for me and Mike and her.

Does anyone want a mule team trainer? Because of the wonderful EDC size, some may want to train with these for self defense. I also see a scout carry system with overlapping blade sheath portions for left and right draw or both simultaneously.

Me too. If there is no limit I'll be buying more than 2. If there is a limit I'll buy 2 of each.

I've been doing a lot of knife and scale making the last couple weeks. I'm really looking forward to having some new Mules to work on.

Hey, everyone:
In anticipation of the Mule Team relaunch, I am creating a new area of the forum that will be devoted to Mule Teams. The area is set up, but it's not visible yet as I'm still moving all of the relevant threads to the new area. It will be obvious when I make it live for everyone. ;) Hang in there!
