Glad to hear they're banning any bots trying to purchase. It's disheartening but not surprising in the least to hear about bots being used for this.

Also, I really wish twitter wasn't how they were going to announce models but if thats what it takes I guess I'll sign up for twitter... :rolleyes:

I wonder how many drops we are talking about here? Hourly? A few per day? What percentage of models/knives were in the initial drop? Inquiring minds want to know!

Man, I am having no luck with my phone or my work tablet. I can periodically load the page, but whenever I try to add anything to the cart it just says its loading forever, finally refreshes and nothings in the cart. I'll have to check back in a while to see if traffic has slowed.

Yeah, that makes 3 of us!!! I'm just so happy to finally score something after an hour...I wanted the PM2 S45vn but it went out of stock even though it was in my cart... I guess this is a good consolation? Lol.

Curious as to what others will be added and what time frame.

I was on the fence in the deals thread the other day with that place that was giving 30% off. Native LW in Maxamet was a good deal, but something told me to hold out for today. Now we just have to hope our knives flaws are minor!

I wonder if it would be possible to make a really annoying checkout experience full of captchas to foil the bots and make it not worth trying to use them. I guess then the cheaters would just be mad and try to hammer the site anyway. Not sure what the answer is.

I am hoping they started small with the least popular stuff to get a feel for how the site would work and they get scalpers and bots to move along. Once the site traffic dies down I am hoping they will start dropping some sprints and more Seki stuff.

Yeah, i've been saying this for a long time now as well. Time for dealers to start getting with the times. Bots are here to stay and are only going to get worse. Beef up servers and implement actions like sophisticated and interactive captchas to eliminate bots. I saw a captcha the other day where you had to slide a puzzle piece to fit into another piece. Not sure if you could program a bot to get past that...

Hats off to the Spydercrew. We are very lucky as this has to be a huge PITA for the crew. I will look forward to next year being in person again. I feel like we're in for another wave of grumpiness when people aren't happy with what they receive...

Finally got a Maxamet PM2. Get to try a compression lock and maxamet for the first time. It only took little over a hour with it in my cart.
