The long pause seems to have been good for Trent Reznor. :)
Stuff that frequently gets stuck in my head might be anything by Cash, Queensryche, Queens of the Stone Age, AC/DC, Aerosmith ... Is there a pattern? :D

It's particularly annoying when mainstream trash gets stuck in your head, don't you think? It's totally soulless but somehow the simplicity of it hits a spot, especially after the 10000th repetition on the radio.

I'll stop now, before I rant. :o
Aloha silverback!!!
Ahhhh, a man after my own music!!! (Well, you and Senate that is :D ) I was trying to learn NIN's "Star F*****" song, but got right back into ACDC's "For Those About to Rock"...plus I been teaching my daughter the riffs to "Back In Black" so...anyway, just wanted to say ya got great taste in tunez!!!
OBTW, PLEASE do not speak of mainstream trash...ya don't know how LONG I had that darn "Ketchup song" stuck in my head!!! :D

God bless

Thanks, compliments right back. :)
Ah yes, the darn Ketchup song rears it's ugly head...
After my last post NIN's "All The Love In The World" went round in my head, not annoying at all. :) I just came back from the premiere of Episode 3 and now it's the SW Title Theme. :D
I must say I still prefer EP 4-6, but EP 3 is the best of the first three.
Good night from my end of the world, I'm off to bed at 3 a.m.! :)

wheneve I read the title of this thread, the first thing that comes to mind is... "Georgia on my mind" :)
right before that it was "Never gonna give you up" by Barry White

Metallica "Enter Sandman", "Sanitarium", "One", or "Whisky in the Jar" go off at 5am for wakeup call, so I pretty much have them burned into my brain now... nothing like waking up to decent music.

MP3 in my car has Die Krupps: The Final Option, Edguy(mix), Nitzer Ebb(mix) and Oomph!

CD in my player for work had AC/DC, Metallica and Guns & Roses in it today ...
CD in my comp has Hendrix and Pink Floyd...
DVD has 51hrs of music to choose from...

The song running through my head today is Edguy "The Savage Union".

Why do people worry more if you argue with your voices than if you just talk with them? What about if you lose those arguements?
Slowly going crazy at work... they found a way to make the voices work too.

Nice to see that you're still hooked on the german Metal and EBM!
Edguy's "King of Fools" gets stuck pretty easily in my head, too. :D

Machine gun.
Tearin' my body all apart.
Yeah, machine gun, Tearin' my bo-dy, tearin' my body all apart

Or how 'bout Pink Floyds One of these days?

Good taste!

Never Know-JACK JOHNSON--IN BETWEEN DREAMS

I heard this old story before
Where the people keep on killing for their metaphors
But don’t leave much up to the imagination
So I want to give this imagery back
But I know it just ain’t so easy like that
So I turn the page and read the story again and again and again
It sure seems the same with a different name

We’re breaking and rebuilding and we’re growing, always guessing

Never knowing
We’re shocking but we’re nothing
We’re just moments, we’re clever but we’re clueless
We’re just human, amusing but confusing
We’re trying, but where is this all leading?
We’ll never know

It all happened so much faster than you can say disaster
Want to take a time-lapse and look at it backwards
Find the last word and maybe that’s just the answer that we’re after
But after all we’re just a bubble in a boiling pot
Just one breath in a chain of thought
We’re moments just combusting
We feel certain but we’ll never, never know
It sure seems the same, give it a different name

We’re begging and we’re needing, and we’re trying, and we’re breathing

Never knowing
We’re shocking but we’re nothing
We’re just moments, we’re clever but we’re clueless
We’re just human, amusing but confusing
We’re helping, rebuilding and we’re growing
Never know

Knock, knock, coming door to door
To tell you that their metaphor is better than yours
And you can either sink or swim and things are looking pretty grim
If you don’t believe in what they’re spoon-feeding
It’s got no feeling so I read it again and again and again

It sure seems the same, so many different names

Our hearts are strong, our heads are weak, we’ll always be competing

Never knowing
We’re shocking but we’re nothing
We’re just moments, we’re clever but we’re clueless
We’re just human, amusing, confusing
But the truth is all we got are questions
We’ll never know

An old classic from 1969 and one of my personal favorites!

Thanks for the memories!

Allen,

"Vehicle" is one of my all time favorites too. Ides of March played an informal concert at McNeese University one summer during the early 70's and when they launched into "Vehicle" the crowd went wild. It was one of those electrifying moments I'll never forget.
