How do you like the serrations? Honestly, compared to the Endelas, these just look a bit too deep and aggressive for my liking (but of course I can´t say anything just from a pic!)

Otherwise: Very nice! :)
Top three going by pocket-time (update April 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10), Chaparral SE (CTS XHP)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Endela SE (K390)

It’s the only serrated caly 3 I’ve ever seen so I had to buy it when I saw it

This one just arrive this afternoon, so it is now in my pocket. I've been enjoying my REX 45 Native 5 LW-- carrying it at work this week. The Manix 2 is a new model for me. I once handled the G10 model in a shop. I find the Manix LW to be quite compelling from a value, weight, and price perspective. REX 45 is some good stuff.

We'll see how i like the model in the longer run. My initial impressions are favorable. :spyder:
Nice score there, bro. :spyder:

I’ll be interested to hear what you think of that knife.

I’ve never handled a LW Manix, and the REX45 runs have eluded me so far...

You prompted me to bring out my pair of Manixes today:

Thanks!

And a nice pair they are. I sure like my CruWear and have been curious about 52100.

I have long been curious about the Manix LW-- a little more than the G10 model, which is somewhat atypical for me. The G10 model seems "over-jimped"-- maybe a common complaint and fixable problem. I am no weight-weenie, but am sometimes compelled by that factor. The REX45 pushed me over the edge on this purchase.

So far i have only played with it a bit and cut some inconsequential things-- plastic wrap, soft wood etc. Among it's size peers of the Spydies that i regularly carry, the Manix LW plays to it's strength as lightweight. It has some tough competition with the Stretch 1 &2, Chef and Shaman as longer-time favorites. I do basically prefer a backlock almost always, but enjoy some variety.

Thanks guys! I was looking for MFG info on some impellers and then that idea just hit me. Guess I'll give it a try in another thread now :p

Saw it there and think it should win! ;)

Just picked up a Salt 2 SE wharncliffe as a new work knife, thought I'd give it a run out over the weekend.

Sunday? It's still only Saturday evening where I am. ;)

Nice knife, by the way.

Haha, it's about 9:00 in the morning here already. I dunno how many timezones are we ahead of you. Thanks! Except for the extra coarse G10 that sticks to my pocket like there's no tomorrow, loving this...well, all Manixes in that regard. :)
