Yes! We have the S.P.O.T. but from there it is a big jump to the Moran FB's.
What about a small fixed blade, a drop point of leaf shape, flat ground 2 to 2-3/4" cutting edge S30V steel with full tang and G10 scales or VG10 with moulded FRN handle and about maximum 6" OAL. Probaly a Kydex Sheath with removeable boot clip so it could also be used as a neck knife or slipped into your pocket.
I believe there is a market out there for such a knife (or is it saturated - I don't know). Unfortunately, the Vagabond does not seem to have taken off as it should have - mayble it was before its time. Even a flat ground Vagabond in VG10 would be acceptable.
What do you think?

I agree - I, for one, would be interested in something along the lines of what you describe. Recently I looked into purchasing a fixed blade, and didn't find anything in the size range of "could be worn as a neck knife or slipped into a pocket" size that I liked. The Vagabond just doesn't appeal to me - I like neither the pivoting plastic cover, nor AUS-6 steel.

Great idea, I would love something like a fixed blade Dragonfly or Native. Those would make great little work knives when camping. Conveniently worn around the neck, close to the action. Also don't miss the appeal for these little utility FB's for public use. NKP feel safer around a small knife that doesn't "jump" open.

Yes...the SPOT handle is one of the most superb examples of excellent R&D'ing I've seen. I can't wait for the bigger spots, I have my own ideas in mind, but if the :spyder: s beat me to the draw, it's all good!!!
