Done now for 2019. Just ordered a waterway that I missed because the first run disappeared so quickly and a dragonfly hawkbill because the recent discussion about hawkbills has piqued my interest.
For next year, I'm looking forward to the Slycz swayback. I'm not big on plain grey titanium handles, but I really like that design. Might have to try my hand at anodization. Interested to see the Pacific salt 2 as well.

Just 2 of the spydies I feel lucky to have got this year. If those were it I’d say it was a solid year. (That ain’t all folks)

On October I made a promise that I am not going to buy a new knife until next year....I don't know if I can keep it. I find a good deal for Pacific Salt....or Stretch sprint run.
In the pocket: Chaparral FRN, Native Chief, Police 4 K390, Pacific Salt SE, Manix 2 G10 REX45
Re: Are you done with 2019, Spydie wise? What do you wish for in 2020?
The upcoming price increase keeps hunting me thoughts. I so wish I could find the funds to order the Serrata, the only definitive purchase I have on my mind, before 2020...

- The hinted at Military 2 with compression lock.
- The expected Native Chief Sprint with CF and high end steel.
- The considered Titanium Ikuchi.
- The whispered two brothers of the Ikuchi.

i WAS done having crafted 'my perfect edc' of a para3 cruwear modified with contoured scales and a wire clip added ( with a bolt thru the lanyard hole) so it behaves like the LW version BUT last night i pulled the trigger on an all black CE delica, very random as im not a back lock fan - yes im a flicker/ fidgeter!
and having just purchased a set of bench stones i want to practice on some easier steel - perhaps another bow river

Got my Dodo, so my 2019 is likely over. If eBay throws out a 20% off coupon like the ones we saw last year, maybe I will grab a few of the production models I've been wanting.

Now that the two Brown/M390 Manix 2's have finally dropped. I think I'm done. :D
Unless, I get surprised, and the Rosewood Shaman manages to sneak out before years end, and/or the upcoming Manix 2 LW CPM-S90V DLC Orange FRCP pops up. :spyder:
My wishes for 2020?
K390 Shaman and Manix 2 G10
FFG 4V Manix 2
Rex 45 Burnt Orange Manix 2 (Oh my goodness, how can we not have this already?)
Maxamet Gray G10 Manix 2
More hopes and wishes, for 2020.
Spyderco does a new steel for them. Rex 54. Of course, in a Shaman, and Manix 2 G10 :D
Excited to see, and get, the upcoming Deadboxhero CPM 15V knife.
Screw construction going forward, on all Manix 2 lightweights! :p
I'm also looking forward, to seeing a new Mule this year.

I am done with 2019. This year I got a Stretch Super Blue and a Dragonfly 2 Salt (SE). For 2020 I am hoping for:
•Anything from Gayle Bradley. If the Bradley Bowie gets discontinued and discounted like the Junction was I wont be able to resist.
•Swick 5
•A return of the Michael Walker (I think Sal said something in '17 about bringing them back in '19...I can wait a little longer)
•A non-swayback Slysz collaboration

Re: Are you done with 2019, Spydie wise? What do you wish for in 2020?
2019 was a good year, tried out some steels for the first time - Maxamet, Rex 45, S90v. Biggest bonus was trying a Military and realizing it's not too big. The DLC/M390 Manix 2 is probably my last for this year unless late night browsing and beers results in a K390 PM2!
For 2020 I have enough existing models and steels to keep me busy but would like to see:
Military in Cruwear with CF or Micarta scales, M390 or variant with any scales...
Manix 2 LW in LC200N
Any new lock mechanisms to play with in the Military family.
Stretch 2/Straight Spine in Cruwear, M390 or LC200N.

SS stretch is worthy of cheating. Let us know what you think of these when they arrive.Spydergirl88 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 10:38 pmWell I lied. Said I was done yet somehow I have a straight spine stretch and bow river inbound... Oops

2019 has been a good year Spydie-wise. Para3 Maxamet, Mantra 2, Caribbean, Shaman, McBee among others. I think that will be it for me for the year.
Next year, I’m a definite day 1 purchaser of the Swayback, and will likely pick up a Sage 5 LW at some point. Beyond that, not much else I’m intentionally targeting, but that always seems to have a way of changing.

A Mini Para3 LW!! Yesterday I made a plastic/foam Para3 for my 2 year old son. It should be a 1:1 scale version but it came smaller out of the printer. Turned out it is an awesome edc sized blade for me. I know it’s not for everyone but which knife is?!
I really like the size. It is a 3 finger grip. And feels just right.
I made some comparison pictures next to the Para3 K390 the Drunken and a Victorinox.

I'm done for 2019. I really don't have anything that has me drooling for 2020. A K390 Military would be too hard for me to resist. I am probably going to get a 1 x 30 variable speed belt sander to play around with. I broke the tip on a Super Blue Caly 3.5 a couple of years ago and I'll see if I can grind some life back into it.
