All Mahomes did last night was prove he was actually human lol
Honestly, after reading what JD just wrote, the best thing the Chief fans can do is take a page out of the Patriots notebook and.move onto next week. And, honestly I can maybe see the Patriots fans acting like that, because they are a dynasty. The Chiefs fans acting like that when they haven't even been to to dsmn super bowl since the 60's is ridiculous and maybe the reason they haven't been to the Super Bowl since the 60's
That being said, if it was a blow out loss, that's one thing, but it wasn't and the Chiefs team has been freakin magnificent since Mahomes and Reid got there! If I was Andy Reid.....well, I ain't even gonna say. Bunch a damned spoiled baby Chief fans
I'm sorry JD I really am. But, that's just ridiculous outta Chief fans.
Dude it was very much that way all the way back to the days of Lenny Dawson and Otis Taylor. When they won Superbowl IV they were like a 40-1 underdog. It's been frustrating because we've had some great teams and super players over the years but just seem to die in the playoffs. When Marty Shottenheimer was coach he made the playoffs every year except one if my memory is right.
ARROWHEAD stadium has a mystique all it's own. I wish I had enough of a bankroll to treat a bunch of you to a game out at ARROWHEAD>> then you would sort of see what I'm talking about>> and maybe have a different take on it.
Well I just got news that the Redskins just fired Jay Gruden>> What the heck took them so long!!????/ That was about as bad as the Bengals keeping Marvin Lewis for almost two decades  I would have done that at least 2 to 3 years ago. If there is any team in the NFL that has a literal curse on them it has to be Washington. They can't even buy a team with all the money that Daniel Snyder has. He needs to go back to the business world and sell that team to an owner that knows football. Case Closed on that one.
Wow! I never expected to see that the Colts actually won that game when I woke up this morning! Honestly expected Mahomes to lead his team to a comeback.
Well I told our Brother "SF Native" that his 49ers were going to control this game. Well it's 28 to 3 in favor of the 49ers and it appears that Baker Mayfield and the Browns are having a really bad evening. But like I told "SF Native" I do believe the 49ers are for real this season. Four weeks ago I was high on Dallas to win the NFC>> but now I believe it's going to be a battle between the 49ers and the Packers.
Well we've got about a quarter and a half to go but I believe the 49ers have got this game firmly under control. I'm amazed at how much this 49ers team has improved in just one year.
31 to 3. That is a beating.
I thought it was going to be close and maybe the niners regress. Nope.
They didn’t even change that many players from last year. They played hard last year even as they were losing. They got the QB back from injury. Bosa and ford have made that front 4 defense just hard to handle. That really helps the secondary. Working like a well oiled machine right now.

I still wish the Chiefs had not traded Dee Ford>> but he's got a really good home now and I'm happy for him. There's a long shot possibility that he might be playing his old team in the Superbowl. The Niners played like they were possessed last night. That Defense has went up 50 notches since last year. That poor Mayfield just couldn't get anything going. Well I made 3 out of 5 of my Week #5 predictions which I personally consider good as hard as these games are getting to predict.
I'll say it again the Packers and Niners will probably rule the AFC this year. The Cowboys have so many repairs to make I just don't think they'll get it done in time this year. Also look for Jason Garrett to be in the unemployment line at the end of this season. I think he's finally pushed Jerry to his limit.
Well, the Browns are still the Browns and I'm really not surprised. All that talent and they put up 3 points. They have more talent than they know what to do with. Baker Mayfield better start feeling dangerous again if he plans to make the playoffs this season. I was happy to see Garoppolo perform as well as he did though!
Also JD, don't forget about the Saints in the NFC. In my opinion they're the front runners in the NFC right now, because of how well they're playing with Teddy Bridgewater. When Drew Brees comes back, he will only make them better.

OH I haven't forgotten about the Saints at all. But I deal with what I see right in front of me at this time. And if you want to look at it from the "potential" aspect then you really can't even rule out Dallas at this point either. But with Green Bay and the 49ers I'm seeing an intensity from both of those teams that you just don't see enough these days. Both of these teams are hungry beyond belief.
Speaking of Teddy Bridgewater as I said in an earlier post this is a most phenomenal year because it has truly become the "The Year Of The Back-Up QB"
I can't believe the performances of these back up QBs so far this season. I've never seen a time in the NFL to where there is so much talent on the sidelines and relegated to the bench in many cases.
I'm truly again so happy for Dee Ford that he now has a good team around him. He was a real classy standout here in KC. But I'm certain that the 49ers are not just a "flash in the pan" so to speak. They have a promising defense and Garoppolo is truly better than I thought he would be. And he has a supporting cast around him. Back in the AFC I'm also surprised at how rapid Oakland is improving. I wouldn't have bet a dime they would have beaten Chicago. I'm still a bit stunned on that one
The 49ers look REALLY GOOD. I was very impressed with what I saw last night. Being on the east coast, that was the first game of theirs I got to see. I was thinking maybe they lucked into a 3-0. NOPE! That team is legit. If they continue to run the ball the way they do, play that defense...definitely a contender. I wonder if they will be in the market for a true #1 receiver?? That looks like all their really lacking from what I saw.
The Browns, what a disappointment. What a pathetic showing by Mayfield on national tv! A couple more losses, all those personalities and egos on that team are going to start to show up and things could get very ugly!
I don't want to hear about the action of your knife - Rick

Of my 5 predictions for Week #5 I was pretty certain the Browns were going to lose that game>> that was probably the one I was most convinced of except for the Chief's disgusting loss and that was about as horrible of a let down as I've seen in the past 5 years . So far Baker Mayfield has not convinced me at all. It would be a shame if he turns out to be a draft bust like David Carr did but it's starting to look that way. But in all fairness it did take Brett Favre about two seasons before he started to show promise. And like you mentioned some of those inflated egos on that Bown's team tend to scare me and they could backfire at any time now. Because OBJ is beginning to look like another version of T.O. to me
In regards to OBJ we all should learn an eternal lesson from the Antonio Brown meltdown. Locker Room Poison is just not worth it no matter how good the player is.
All week the talk radio was saying one of the other teams (maybe the rams) set the blue print for the browns. Stop Chubb to make Baker throw the ball. Then make him uncomfortable and he can’t make quick decisions like Brady, brees, or Rogers. He can be a one read guy like kaepernick was. Now they know his weakness, can he and the coaches respond and improve? Might take time. Look at teddy b. Given time (and a second chance) he has improved in a back up roll. He might be in the league a long time. That’s how Rogers came up behind favre. Brady behind bloodsoe. Young behind Montana. Jimmy g behind Brady. It’s too hard a job to expect to handle it on day 1.

I hope for his sake ( Baker Mayfield) that I'm wrong>> but I don't think I am at this point. I'm smelling "draft bust" already. He totally reminds me of David Carr who I was really high on when he entered the league. Because when we ( The Chiefs) played him last year it was one of our easier games of the 2018 season IMO. The Browns think they are going to be conquerers by stacking the deck  I can already see that isn't working.
IN your favor however. The Niners have the making of a superb defense>> and Mike Ditka always said it is basically defenses that ultimately win more games at the end of the season. And I've seen very few exceptions to that rule over the years. The 1999-2000 Rams being one I can remember. But the Niners are truly putting together a powerhouse team. I doubt if they lose more than 3 games at the most this season>> maybe not even that many.
Thank Goodness we don't have to play them in the regular season
For me the 49ers season key is can they beat the rams and Seahawks. We are about to find out. Rams incoming. If they can beat the rams, they have skin, Carolina, Arizona after that. Their record could be incredible.
On the injury watch, there is rumblings of dee ford managing a hurt knee that might need surgery in the off season. Let’s hope he holds it together and gets some rest.
Other matchups this week... either redskins or dolphins will win their first game. I’m going with skins.
Tampa-Carolina looks like a good watch for the early game.
Houston had a big win over Atlanta this week and take on the chiefs in week 6. That should be good.
The eagle-Vikings game looks good too.
I'm seeing rumours about the Browns already listening to trade offers for OBJ! They would really need to get a good return to benefit from trading him, he is still one of the most elite receivers in the game! I don't think I would be surprised if they do trade him though.

Just the fact that the NY Giants parted with him the way they did indicates to me that he was borderline locker room poison. Because the Giants historically are pretty loyal to players that do well for them. They've been pretty much that way since the Bill Parcells era. No doubt about OBJ having awesome talent>> but so did T.O. and A. B. and Chad Johnson and we know how those ended up
Just like the Chiefs and the problems we had with Kareem Hunt That probably kept us out of the Superbowl last season. I think the Chiefs had the right idea>> pull your weeds as fast as possible.
Not that the Giants had ANY chance in Foxboro tomorrow, but this is going to be down right UGLY. Giants are without Saquon, Gallman, Shepard and Engram! 3 of their top play makers...GONE! I almost think they should put Eli back in there to preserve Jones for a game they actually have a chance!

The Giants have always historically had at least 2 premier defensive players on their roster for as long as I can remember. Since Coach Coughlin has went on his merry way it seems like that's not a priority anymore. I wish the Giants would again upset the Evil Empire it would give me something good to be happy about.
I'm looking for Green Bay and the Niners to take over the NFC. I truly wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys lost to the Jets this week. The Cowboys and Chiefs both have some fundamental flaws in their game. If they don't resolve them quickly it's going to be bad news for both teams I'm afraid
