The best knife Spyderco ever produced (so far):

My M4 Shaman. Time to start its patina.

Yep. I bought two of them. I thought that the only way you could make it better was to put a DLC M4 blade in it. So I did, to one of them. Now I have the two best Militarys out there. Not sure which one is one and which one is two.

I'm going to do the same, but with the REX 45 steel.
Honestly, this knife has absolutely no equal - outside *MAYBE* the fluted full Ti Millies.
Nothing even compares to it.

Vivi, that´s very kind of you, I´ll send you a pm! And thanks for the map, actually there are at least two courses in the state I live in, though quite far away from my place (Austria is a federal republic, and Salzburg one of its states. Plus: The CAPITAL of Salzburg is also called, well, Salzburg.. )Vivi wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 7:35 amI don't see Salzburg listed, but maybe one of these courses is close by?Wartstein wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 6:11 amLike about twenty years ago I was a bit into frisbee, even played some Ultimate.
At some point I was arrogant enough to somehow think, I kind of "invented" a form of disc golf...
It was not known as a sport in Europe at all at that time, as far as I can recall.
I was looking for a way to do frisbee-throwing all alone, cause I did not have too many buddies who were interested. So I set up a parcour in a large park, had to hit lets say a certain tree, than into a dustbin, than have the disc to land on a certain bench and so on... counted the throws necessary, and tried to break the records I set. And really thought "Maybe this will become a real sport someday"...
I´d like to try REAL disc golf, but there aren´t any parcours close to where I live. And I only have Ultimate Discs and Freestyle Discs.
[ Enough off topic now... )

I could send some discs your way if you want to try out some modern ones! Just like knives, disc golf tech has come a ways the past few decades.
Anyways, here's my Wartstein impression :D
/ Great impression, great landscape (and knife)! Just a TAD too flat or my likings...

Such a beautiful day where I am. Snapped a pic before I clean some coils.

Your mountains are definitely more impressive than the Blue Ridge Mountains, but I can also do a Lance impression driving less than 20 minutes. There's worse places to live!
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Too funny! The weather up here was unseasonably warm yesterday, so I took the kayak out for a little cruise. With all these "impressions" going around this was my completely unintentional "Vivi impression" :DVivi wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2019 2:25 pmYour mountains are definitely more impressive than the Blue Ridge Mountains, but I can also do a Lance impression driving less than 20 minutes.
