Looks like an easy enough fix. I've never had an issue choking up on handles like this, such as on my ESEE6HM, with it fully sharpened.BornIn1500 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 7:27 pmI thought everyone already knew this. All promo pics for the last 1 1/2 years or so have shown the edge comes up a little short. Must be so nobody cuts their finger.
Where is my Bow River ?

Yeah it’s a super easy fix, I’m going to address it this weekend. My finger sits deep enough in the choil I don’t see how I could ever accidentally cut myself anyways. Fit and finish is pretty good actually, and the knife feels pretty good in hand. Can’t wait to filet some fish with this thing, hopefully this weekend I can put it through some rounds. I’m really thinking about picking up a couple more, the price is right!

I would of posted some pictures but I’m not downloading another photo hosting thing. Be nice if the subforum was as easy as BF to add pictures.

If you go into the "Full editor & Preview" mode, there is an attachments tab below the text box in which you can upload files directly.
Also, you can upload via your browser at imgur.com without downloading anything.

Re: Where is my Bow River ?
Yes, rounding off the back of the choil and the very first part of the edge was a detail that was on the prototype. I was happy to see the maker picked up on that. It was not done on the first sample we got back. Very easy to sharpen all the way if that is the preference. Thanks, Phil

Thanks Nick, I’ll give it a shot here tomorrow. I’m only 33 and computer illiterate haha.
Thanks Phil, wonderful design. I have a feeling you are going to sale a literal boat load of these things.

Just cancelled my order from knifeoutlet.com. They don’t respond to emails and had no update on shipping the knife for two days. I suspect they were lying about having any stock. Who runs a business like that these days? Everybody finds out immediately.
They in stock anywhere else?

Unexpectedly arrived a day early, this is awesome!
(The angle makes it look a little larger relative to the South Fork than it actually is.)

There's still a couple on Ebay right now for not terrible prices, but I'd think a bunch more dealers will have stock soon. Blade HQ (pre-order) and Cutlery Shoppe had them with a free shipping option, but looks like they're both sold out at the moment.

It's funny you mentioned the tootsie pops. They're sitting next to my laptop as I type this. A few minutes ago I looked at them and wondered what I should do with them (I don't eat a lot of candy). I guess I'll take them to work and put them on the counter in the break room. Hopefully someone will enjoy them. Regarding the shipping, I ordered late on the 13th, it shipped on the 14th, and I received it in my mailbox on the 16th. All at no extra charge for a $32 knife. Can't really beat that.BornIn1500 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 6:12 pm
Same here. Did they send you a few tootsie pops, too? :D Seriously, giving something extra plus free shipping which still arrived quick on a $32.50 order has definitely earned my return business.

Re: Where is my Bow River ?
I've been using my Southfork today while out camping in anticipation of my Bow River (arriving on Monday).
I have used it today for preparing a cantelope and also slicing apples. The trailing point design is an exceptional apple slicer, and it specifically makes coring the apple super easy. Really excited for the Bow River.
