Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
I would really like to see the Manix 2 LW with CTS-XHP steel become a regular production knife. I would like a different color of frcp, however. The price point was just right and the steel choice was perfect.
I was going to buy one of the brown exclusives but I had to fork out $1000 for tires and more for a broken tooth. By the time I recovered they were sold out everywhere.

Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
I agree with you totally. I was able to get one pretty early on but not in time for a back-up. So I'd be in for sure on regular production. It's a wonderful knife. What color scales are you thinking??

To piggyback on your idea, I'd be game for a G10 version with XHP.Doc Dan wrote:I would really like to see the Manix 2 LW with CTS-XHP steel become a regular production knife. I would like a different color of frcp, however. The price point was just right and the steel choice was perfect.

I think pine green would be neat, but XHP gives me more of a sky blue vibe for some reason. Either would be nice I think.ivtecdaily wrote:I agree with you totally. I like blue, so any shade of blue would do. However, a nice persimmon orange, Tennessee Vols orange, or HD orange would be nice. Indian Motorcycle Red would be awesome, too.

Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
The right shade of purple would be okay with me, but I prefer blue...how about a blue-purple or a purple-blue?
Also, the knife should be made in a back lock, as well as the CBBL.

Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
The Manix 2 LW XHP has been my EDC for a while now. I love it! Other colors may be cool, but I like this knife.
PM2 Camo DLC S30V - Chaparral XHP - Delica 4 VG-10 -Manix 2 LW CTS BD1 - Manix 2 LW KC Exclusive XHP - Tenacious 8Cr13MoV - Dragonfly VG10 - PM3 Sprint Cruwear Light Gray G10 - K08 Santoku
Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
I'd love for XHP to be the steel of choice for a LOT of regular-production models. I prefer it to S30V, and I'd rather have that as the standard steel on just about anything that normally comes in S30V.

Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
Can we please make this happen lol. Or at the very least do another sprint run of the xhp manix. I have a s110v manix 2 lw but xhp would be the perfect edc in my eyes. Such a great steel. Holds an edge for a long time but it's not chippy and it easily strops back to shaving sharp.

Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
I'd like to see Cutlery Shoppe do a new CTS XHP Manix LW exclusive in translucent orange FRCP in both Satin and DLC versions.
They really should have done XHP instead of S90V on the Manix LW and Native LW Exclusives.
Or short of that, any other dealer could do one in a different color translucent FRCP.

i wasn’t a fan of the brown, but i’m glad i ordered it anyway. it grew on me. most of the colors listed here probably would not though. i prefer earth tones. and, as much as i love my xhp manix, i really would rather have one in lc200n, even if it’s not a full salt model.

Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
I would love to see a Manix 2 LW in XHP available at a reasonable price again. Regular production would be my first choice, but another exclusive or sprint would also be good.
I don't get people who only carry one knife

Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
Id rather see Cruwear be the regular production steel for the Manix LW and other LWs, but XHP exclusives would be welcome

Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
I'm pretty sure the dealer would consider it a breach of their trust if Spyderco took their exclusive into production for sale by the retailers.

Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
They just need to change the color. KC and KW both did M4 Para2s but in different colors.
I don’t think BD1N is gonna be that much different than XHP.
What they need to do is make a Native5LW in XHP. They did it in the previous Native so they should do it again with the newer version.

Re: Make the Manix 2 LW XHP regular production
This would be my first choice as far as spyderco production models if it ever happened. It's such a great knife. And xhp is the best steel out there in my opinion. My first choice would be a red handle in xhp then maybe the chapparal grey. But I'd be ok with about any color as long as it had xhp. Lc200n would be cool to. Although I'm not sure the edge retention is quite as good with lc200n.
