I counted 75 spydercos tonight. I decided to make a list for insurance purposes, and to help me keep track of them. I have about an equal number of other brands. I've said it before I'm more of a hoarder than a real dedicated, knowledgeable collector like some here.

I have brought the number of non spydercos down this last 6 months and will likely continue to do so. I have too many I won't ever use so Why keep them? The good ones like the Mcustas, MT's, Camillus Max and Dominator, various Ti Framelocks like the ZDP Leek and mini Cyclone ZDP and the Fallkniven knives with 3G steel will all be keepers though. I've got some M2 knives I'll keep too, as well as a few Bokers and Bucks with BG42.

**** it's difficult picking out knives to get rid of. My ex always said I was a packrat. She may of had something there. Joe

Come on, Peter! Only 2 (!!) more to reach the 200!

That should be only a matter of days, isn't it? :D

Or is this list perhaps lacking one or two knives that were hiding when you made the list?

David Lowry wrote:So like do you mean you will just stop collecting and just use them?

Hi David,
Well I've always used my knives, never a collector. I was talking about getting out of the knife world period, like all the way gone. I only visit this site now (I used to be on BF, USN and Badlands forums regularly), I've just had enough. I'm planning on concentrating more on my family and my lifelong love of music (mostly black metal and grindcore, if one can call grindcore "music" ;) ) in the future. I'll be lurking on a very rare basis and of course if any new SE models come out in the future a purchase isn't out of the question. Nothing personal to anyone on the forum, I'm just bored with knives right now and have more than any man can use up in a lifetime.
Cheers,
Rob

I've got 20 Spydies. A lot more than it seems like, because I've got them stashed all over the place... only way I could count was by the list I keep of all my knives...

I remember after my first 5, I said to myself, 'I am not going over a dozen! Why would I? That doesn't make any sense!'

Once I hit 13, I thought, 'There is no way I will get to 20! That would be insane!' I even reasured my friends, stating as much.

Today, 22 :spyder: folders. I don't even want to count the others. It is almost embarasing to answer the 'how many do you have' question to a non-knife person.
