Empty yer coat pockets!
I guess it is a different take on the proverbial "empty yer pockets" that I enjoy seeing pop up everyonce in a while.
Thing is, it's getting warmer now and the winter coat's gotta go but when I emptied my pocket, I noticed I carry different tools in my pockets, which are different that my pants' pockets. I found:
-SAK Rescue
-some kind of pen
-Brunton FireLight
-about 50$
-emergency bus tickets
-waterproof matches
-Suunto compas/thermometer
-sunglasses
-small maglight
-plenty of old receipts
I think that's it.
Does anyone else carry different things in their coat pockets?

Mine's boring.
1 pair of work gloves with those wool (military style) liners.
1 pair of driving gloves
Maybe a stocking cap
Lock deicer
I carry a daypack most of the time so whatever doesn't go in my pockets or on my belt goes there.

First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Coat pockets
Summer and winter (we have very mild winters) I wear one of those jackets without sleeves. This is mainly a "utility belt" to carry all my stuff :
Work key bunch (includes a :spyder: Ladybug)
Car key bunch
House key bunch
Star starlet .25 pistol
:spyder: Military
Wallet
Parker ball pen
512 MB Sandisk memory dongle
Nokia 6310i cellphone
I.D. card
Medication container w/ 3 tablets
Cheers
Mike
Tip : Put as few keys as possible on your car key bunch. The strain will eventually mess up the ignition lock.

Why do people worry more if you argue with your voices than if you just talk with them? What about if you lose those arguements?
Slowly going crazy at work... they found a way to make the voices work too.

- receipts from the Post Office, the supermaket, and Wal-Mart (thanks to this thread, I just cleaned them out)
- pair of lightweigt gloves
- keys (occasionally, clip them to my shoulder bag more often than not when they're not dangling from the ingnition switch).

Largely Empty
While I normally keep Hatch cut-resistant gloves and a Photon microlight in my jacket, the gloves are at home today and the light was gifted to a friend just yesterday for a pocket survival kit he is assembling.
My pockets are bare, my friends. :D
To be fair, I change overcoats too often to put anything important in any of the pockets.
It's an OCD thing: you wouldn't understand. :p

the pockets of my coat -- a huge, early 1970s van heusen monstrosity... tweed lined with black fir -- always contain index cards, pens, and my cell phone. also, if i'm walking outside -- my hands... one of which is usually secretly fondling a knife.
one of the pockets is modified so that i can hide things in the liner, if need be... where they go virtually undetected, as the coat is soooo big and thick. i've found both a flask and a matriarch floating around in there before...
