Thanks for the photo Filoso! I appreciate it. It does look slightly darker to my eyes as well.
Looks the same color as the st nicks para 3. The para looks a little lighter because it’s got nested liners and is thinner material. The ukpk has solid thick slabs of g10.
Good observation! That perfectly could be the reason. Thanks for the input SF Native

I first bought one but the fit and finish is amazing so I had to purchase a backup. Scalpel sharp.... great job Spyderco !

You guys are killing me. I ordered one.

I travel enough to justify getting one, including to UK. Going this summer.

I think it’s a good enough knife to just use. Lock or no lock. Just like a caly 3 but no lock and no liners. Enjoy it.

I just moved and have been using my orange g10 ukpk on tearing down all the boxes. It’s worked just fine. Who needs a lock? :D

The FRN model goes with me when I travel international, as well as a week here and there in regular rotation.

When in London this summer, I plan on leaving one with my brother. Question is, will it be the FRN or the G10 (or neither  )? TBD. He was just here visiting for couple of week, and walked away with one of my Enduras.

Can Sal or anyone else at Spyderco comment on whether there will be Collectors Club versions of these?

I truly hope so, and it’d be very odd if they didn’t run the CCs (like the SS Kopa). I have CC versions of the other UK knife forums’ offerings.

Thanks! Radioactive :)

I just moved last week so I’ve been putting the new ukpk through it’s paces tearing down boxes and it’s worked fantastic. Touched it up on the ultra fine stones on my sharpmaker and it’s scary sharp again.

Well done Spyderco! I’ll be sure to do a proper write up soon.

It really is a gorgeous bloody knife. One of Sal's best designs. Love the color too. Nice pic, bro.

I finally succumbed to temptation. I can't believe it's still available. The Brits aren't nearly as exclusive thirsty as we are :p . Have one incoming!! $115...doesn't seem like a bad deal! Failed at a Caly 3 Hap40 sprint earlier today. Been desiring this design. I'm pretty excited!!

Man, might have to grab one of these. Those pics look super nice! Also surprised that they are still available. I thought Brits weren't even allowed to own steak knives over there? Do they need a knife permit? What exactly are the laws on knives across the pond?

I was just looking back through this thread...on March 26th, both you and I were interested in this knife, but said we would pass. Join me friend, succumb to temptation!! Hahaha. Saw a post that 675 of 1200 had been sold a few weeks ago, quite surprised they are still available after reading that just now.

I know you love your high end steels, as do I...but this really is a hard pass for $115

Hmmm...came out to a "grand total" of 87.95 pounds (roughly $115)

But, I did see a 14.95 pound tax that wasn't included in the grand total. Hopefully they realize I'm in the US and isn't applied at a later time. Kind of odd, something I will be paying attention too as that would be an additional $20.

Yeah, Jazz's photos really turned me. Slip joints have always scared me a little. I mean why not get just get a backlock, right? But maybe I will try one and see my fears were unfounded. We shall see. Still tossing this around. I do like wire clips and red G10... :)
