I use Nano Oil (10 weight). It works very well, plus the needle applicator is essential for getting into tight spaces. It's not super cheap but one small tube should last for years.

I use 3 in 1 oil... But you just have to use the manix. Mine was a bit stiff at first, now it works like a dream!

I haven’t found anything to work as well or last as long as Shimano Ace2 grease on pivots and my oldest Military is as good as the day I lubed it over eighteen months ago.

Obviously you need to disassemble the knife in order to grease the pivot which doesn’t suit everyone. :)

Sore fingers? I can't remember if mine were, but I suppose it can happen. Just have to get the technique down, and exercise those fingers! Haha! Or leave the blade open overnight, supposed to loosen up the spring a little.

Half open, so the spring is being compressed. Fully open or closed the spring is relaxed.

I know I am being really annoying asking the same question but
How long does it take roughly for the manix 2 spring to break in
Also I am still having trouble getting used to holding the knife with
Gloves on to close it like getting a good grip

I feel like a broken record but Phil Wood bearing grease has been amazing for me. If it's good enough for high performance bearings it's plenty good enough for a pivot.

I'm with you 100% D and feel like the flip side of your record.

I wonder what percentage of each drop of oil applied to a pivot actually makes it to where it's needed?

As with the bearing grease you use I feel the synthetic grease that lubricates gears and drag (clutch) washers under pressure that may do thousands of revolution in one fishing session throwing and retrieving lures and doing that for years between services has to work well lubricating a blade swinging 180deg irrespective of how often it's opened and closed daily. ;) :)
