I used my bushcraft for a winterovernighter in the Woods last weekend.
Getting ready for a overnighter with the Kids today, i found This.
Shame on me, forgot the bushcraft was in o1 and didn't clean and Oil it after use.
So today I, 'll be carrying a rusty bushcraft.
I want a waterway with a leather sheath :)

That has happened to many of my carbon steel knives. A little sandpaper will clean it right up. :)Mom3ntuM wrote: ↑Mon Feb 25, 2019 6:50 amI used my bushcraft for a winterovernighter in the Woods last weekend.

They left quite a bit of grind lines on the blade so it could probably use a refinish anyway to prevent further corrosion. I usually put a fine finish on my carbon blades.

Looks more like patina than rust from here.
Go baton some small pieces of wood and carve some feather sticks, it'll clean it up.
O1 is definitely one of the quickest steels to patina. But it takes an incredible edge.

Did you polish it? Mine came with grind lines that you could feel on both the bevel and the flats.

Got my Dfly on Christmas. I use it five days a week to cut boxes open and go through cardboard.bbselement wrote: ↑Mon Feb 25, 2019 5:08 pmLove that knife anycal! How is the edge retention on V-Toku? Nobody talks about it.
I have yet to sharpen it.
I strop it regularly though. With a block and some compound it'll shave what few hairs i have on my arms.
If I'm in a pickle I'll just use my jeans and the difference is noticeable
