Lil Temp The Best Yet??

#1

Post by WORKER#9 »

I Can Not Believe How Much I Like This Knife. It Is Like A Really Big Knife In A Package I Can Carry Every Day. Supreme Ergonomics, A Strong Spine, A Really Nice Color. I Am Sure Others Have Sung Its Praises Before But As A Still New To Spyderco Consumer I Just Cant Believe I Lived Without This Knife. This Knife Is A Workhorse, And I Will Use This One Everyday As It Deserves That Kind Of Life. And Did I Mention I Really Like The Color, That Green Is Awesome, Please Make Some More Green Knives.

Love the Lil T :) It is a great size and shape for EDC. Tough as nails and nice and smooth to operate. The one I have is a collectable(well to me anyways) so I don't use it. Glad you like the Lil T. Take Care!!!

The Lil Temp is a great knife. The only thing I noticed is that the clip was very tight. I know that it's a good thing....just means your less likely to have it fall from your pocket. But, there just seems like there is a lot of stress on the clip. I normaly carry it when I'm wearing heavy jeans that have this pocket material.

i've never handled or seen in person a Lil'Temp, but i'd sure love to see what all the hype is about, i'm somewhat intrigued. i saw on pics that it is has a green plastic handle and compression lock and that it has an ATR-style clip though.......uh oh......yeah, i know......try first, buy later. :D

The Lil' Temperance has a green G-10 handle with nested steel liners. Due to the handle shape, it is a good one to handle first before you buy. It doesn't fit everyone equally.

If I had to pick a Spyderco folder that I think would be the strongest and most dependable it would be the Lil' Temp. Whenever I might need a real heavy use folder with great grip retention it's the one I carry. However, I don't carry it as my EDC - that one is a blue G-10 BladeForums Native PE. I find the G-10 Native is a great all-round knife which carries easily, has a great blade shape (similar to the Lil' Temp) and a dependable lock. So, the LT gets some carry but just not EDC.

I got a Lil T about 2 weeks ago, and I've been carrying it ever since. Of course, now I have to get a second one as a backup.

Thought I Would Send A Picture In As Have Been Trying To Get Better Pictures. The Subject Matter Really Motivates Me. I Hope There Is A Lil Temp 2, With Slightly Thinner Scales For Better Carry In A Business Suit Or Day To Day Wear.

still haven't sharpened my lil temp... and I've been cutting cardboard at work the last 2 weeks...

love spydie s30v... BM's acts more like vg-10 on my 921s.

The Li'l Temp is a knife that will do anything (MBC, Tough and fine utility chores) equally well and can go just about anywhere (3 inch blade, colored handle). The best do-all knife IMO.

Glad you found a model you really like Worker9! I can relate, because your feelings toward the Lil' Temperance sound very similar to mine toward the Stretch. If I were right handed, I might be tempted to try the Lil' T. As it is, unless looked at strictly as a "collectors piece", it is not likely to appear on my shopping list. I do like the color and would not mind seeing it appear sometime in the future on a more lefty-friendly model.

I've been thinking about getting a SE Lil' Temp myself. How would you feel about snapping a few more pictures, Worker? :)

like to see some more picture. btw, on MrBlonde's site there's some pics too, and probably on some of the other guys who have a site too.

btw, i think i have a reasonably sound theory on why the Lil Temp is so popular: it seems to be a combination of aspects from the ATR, Para-Military and Caly Jr.

errrm, oh well, maybe not, maybe it's just cool knife :D

I don't think you are not so far of, denn. Even though I would rather say it combines aspects of the CHINOOK and Caly. This is NOT a slim nor sleek knife we are talking about here. If the word "tank" applicable to any Spyderco knife, it would be the Lil'T, it makes the Chinook look slim and sleek! But with its unique handle without 50/50 choil and the compression lock it stands very much on its own. Since it is an older design than the Para, I would rather say that the para incorporates elements of the Lil'T.
