The worst material I cut with my lovely -then- new Chinese Folder was a strip of sandpaper from a roll. That put some lovely scratches on my blade. Made me feel sick at the time. But I got another one and it taught me that this is what happens. I don't hesitate to cut rough materials now, but I know I'm doing it and select the right knife to do it with. The roughest thing I cut each year, are the borders on my lawn. My beater Delica 2 SE or ZDP189 Caly 3 get a nice work out that way, cutting through earth against the stone tiles. It works great, and I get a kick out of all the scratches. I find that the serrated Delica works a bit better than the plain ZDP for this chore.

Great video. I know BBB likes to sharpen, but still, it was nice of him to sacrifice two nice edges for 'science'.

Personally, aside from a carpet pad I cut up a few weeks ago, the worst my edges usually see is CAT5 cable.

Bone is the worst. Clean a boar or deer and cut the bones, it's cut or be cut.
Can you find it and can it cut?
