Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Swick is one of my favorites when its shorts weather. Little more compact than my usual Ronin 2.
I need to re-do the cord wrap though. Mine was put on just to try it out and I didn't tie it off very well.

No chain, clips or paracord on the Spike...do you carry it in a bag or loose in a pocket?

Got my swick with me today. Decided to just go back to my G10 scales instead of trying another cord wrap. Easier to keep clean.

Hey ZrowsN1s,
Just curious where/how you carry your 3 knives. For me, it seems like I never have enough pockets. :)

I put the sheath inside a glasses' pouch (to store your reading glasses, made of textile and with an open top) and that in my back pocket together with the black MSK pouch, it stands still and straight, sheath inside pocket, handle protruding but covered by the shirt :spyder:
I hate neck carry :o
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I like to mix it up, but usually I carry my SD knife, a Yo2 or PM2, clipless in a secondary right hand pocket (it's in the same spot a coin or watch pocket would be, but it is a full sized pocket). I carry my utility knife, typically one of my Natives or Delicas with the clip mounted for left hand carry, but carried forward (towards the center of my waist line, not towards my hip) in my right front pocket (the same way you'd carry a knife like a krambit for reverse grip draw). I then carry a Dragonfly of some sort (with the clip mounted for left hand carry) clipped to my left shirt pocket, or if I'm wearing a polo shirt cliped in between the first and second buttons on the collar. The Meat man wrote: ↑Fri Mar 23, 2018 4:30 amHey ZrowsN1s,

It varies from there, sometimes I carry the DFly in my left pocket in the same manner I carry my utility knife (like reverse grip draw, although I don't actually draw it in reverse grip).
Some days I'll put a Dragonfly in the right hand "Utility Knife" spot, and in my left pocket I'll reverse grip carry my LC200N Native, VG-10 Damascus Delica, Tasman 2, or Para 3.
Like I said I like to mix it up, and I'm always trying new carry configurations. The overall philosophy of my 3 knife carry is this. One SD blade, one utility blade (functions as back up SD blade as well), and one small public friendly blade. Between the Utility and the small public friendly blades, one is usually something with high edge retention, either a tool steel or high end stainless like S90V or ZDP-189, and the other is a food friendly steel like H1, LC200N, or VG-10. I also try to make one of the 3 knives a hawkbill when ever possible. And I try to carry one serrated.

Thanks for the detailed response!
I'm carrying exactly half of my Spyderco collection right now - Advocate and N5 Maxamet - Advocate clipped in right front pocket, and the N5 in my front shirt pocket. The N5 is a bit heavy but not too bad.

I carry a linerless frn knife like my tasman or my native lw in my shirt pocket when I'm around the house and wearing shorts or sweats. I agree it's a little more noticeable weight wise than a Dragonfly, but it's not too bad.The Meat man wrote: ↑Fri Mar 23, 2018 9:37 amThanks for the detailed response!

An Advocate and a Maxamet Native? I like your steel choices :D

Yeah, I like to have my Native available for hard/nearly abusive jobs. There's nothing about that knife I don't like.
I just recently bought the Advocate, so I haven't used it too much yet beyond constantly flicking it open and shut. :) Eventually it'll settle down into a hard use EDC but right now it seems too beautiful and pristine to use very hard.
