And how does one EDC a machete?
You carry it on your back of course! Duh!

I like a serrated edge knife as a backup to a plain edge knife. I do a lot of smaller, finer cutting and for that the spyderedge isn't ideal so I would never only carry a serrated edged knife.

Opening bags of cat litter and cat food is a lot easier with a grippy spyderedge!

The virtual "sawing action" you get from Spyderedges most definitely has it's advantages in many cutting jobs IMO. Opening clam packs is another one that I won't even attempt to do with a plain edged blade anymore with the possible exception of a plain edged Hawkbill.

Most people that tend to shun serrated blades have just never given them a fair trial because if they did it wouldn't be long before they would be adding some to their "user arsenal" of blades.

Again I want to see Spyderco try to at least experiment with different serration patterns. Because they are already in the driver's seat in that market and there really isn't any close second in their rear view mirror. I'm still very much wanting to see what the new, upcoming Spyderco GAUNTLET sharpening system will have to offer for Spyderedges.

At the end of this challenge, I think I will pick up a hawkbill SE dragonfly in H1 just to carry at all times. I've seen the light!

The snagginess is the most annoying aspect for me. The SE blade on my Leatherman Charge flows a little bit better whilst still being a good serrated blade...
