Manix backlock

#1

Post by speedkills »

I own about 40 Spydercos, lots of duplicates of the same models in sprints and exclusives. The Manix backlock is my current favorite. This is directed at Sal or any members here that know the answer in case this was previously discussed in another thread. Any consideration to a Manix XL backlock along with Manix backlock sprints and dealer exclusives? And does this model look to stay in the production lineup?

It does not to seem to be a popular model based on what I see on the forums. Backlocks don’t flick open like compression or ball bearing locks so I guess the fidgeters don’t care for them. I’m hoping it stays in production and there are more varieties coming.

I love mine. If you noticed, the Native 5 has moved to this type of construction.

I got a new Native 5 in this week and it is pretty sweet.

Native backlock is awesome also. Spyderco Just makes a great backlock, simple strong and smooth.

I am using mine in alternance with the CF/Cruwear version, and it's such a great knife (both are). That you cannot flick it is irrelevant to me.

The Manix 2 Back Lock is the knife I would choose if I could only have one folder. It ticks all the boxes for me. What a great knife.

I do hope we will see an XL this year.

This is the reason I've been holding out.

In the back lock? I'm in.

However, I've been hoping for a K390 version.

I support a backlock XL release. I'd get one. Maybe two :D
