Actually, I hope you don't either! I forgot you were in BC (locations don't show up on my mobile browser), which would be quite a road trip! How about I just drive it over the border and mail it to you from within the country? I ski near the border a lot! :D

Still, thank you for beating this drum so long! I've only jumped on the bandwagon relatively recently, but I'm just so stoked that it wound up in a configuration I had hoped for and at a rare time when I have discretionary income. Looks like we're getting close!

This is a really cool combination, does anybody know how many peices are being made? I hope to get in on this one. The price is reasonable as well, considering how expensive the new G-10 S30V seki models have been.

I bet it'll be a big run and we'll have at least a couple days, even if it's as popular as my projection and confirmation bias leads me to believe it will be. BHQ seems to be pretty good at matching supply to demand.

Why would somebody do a japanese tanto folder with that crappy translucent G10 handles
The combination of that nice tanto blade with translucent handles just looks silly to me

Is it in this point in time that much impossible to do a run of decent Lum Tanto folders with a decent handle?
Even a black G10 like the old ones in ATS55 would be nice...

I guess I'll have to wait a few more years, maybe Spyderco gets it right
If not by somebody's judgement hopefully by accident
Or maybe the stars align properly

Next time can you deliver something normal please, a simple black G10 would be perfect if everything else seems too complicated and that is a serious challenge for the next generations to sort out Lum Tanto handle colors

I was hoping for something discrete and stylish on this one so I'll have to consider whether it is worth it to either make new micarta scales or have someone make them for me..

To YOU! :p

You must be new around here ;)
There are a lot of preferences and opinions, but a little respect! BHQ has been doing dealer exclusives in that color G10 for a while, and apparently plenty of people like them. Not everyone will. Not my preferred color, but not a deal breaker, particularly because scales are the easiest things to swap out or dye if you don't like em. I won't miss out on this blade because of whatever scales are used. A lot of us have been waiting a long time for, in a great steel.

Bladehq is currently doing a series of natural g10 folders. Spyderco did not directly put this out, but was commissioned by bladehq. If you don’t like it.... I’m sure there are plenty of brands that fit what your looking for.

While still a bit upset at increases...... I may still get this because it’s just flat out an amazing design.

The jade G-10 isn't my first choice, but thankfully it is probably very easily dyed. Is it worth making custom scales for? Absolutely! In my opinion, at least. If the scales are the only thing holding you back, I think you need to go for it cuz who knows how long it'll be before someone brings this back again and if they do, will it be in the awesome steel choice of laminated HAP40.

Cool knife.
Does anyone think the detent ball will wear through the soft cladding and cause any issues?
Has there been a linerlock with laminated steel before?

My only question that would make or break it for me would be if they retained the apple seed grind at the end or if they just made it a flat grind. To me it looks a bit different than the older ones. Could someone confirm that it has an apple seed grind?
