Post by speedkills »

How's this knife selling so far, Any chance of different blade steels and sprints ? I like mine a lot, really great action on it, one of the best backlock's I've handled.

My favorite. If I had to get rid of all of my Spydercos, I would keep this one, somehow. It is a great knife, not just a good one.

Hey Doc, why do you favor the Manix2 platform over the Para2 platform ? Lock aside...

There is not a great difference in size and I do like the blade shape of the Para2 more. As you note, I prefer the lock on the Manix 2 BL. However, a big consideration is that it fits my hand much better than the Para2. There is just a little bit of extra room on the handle for my large hand. The M2 is also a bit wider/thicker, and while that is not relevant for edc, it does come into play when using it a little hard. It is more comfortable to use.

I think the Para2 is a fine knife and I still have one. But, all of the factors taken together makes me lean toward the Manix 2 back lock.

If BHQ gets this one in their M4 series with jade G10 and M4 I'll be all over it. That jade G10 will be even brighter without liners behind it (though the scales are thicker..I wonder how that would effect it?).

I knew you'd get that response, but I agree these are different. I'd be into a 3" Manix, backlock or cbbl.
