Could not resist anymore. After seeing some of the photos, I pulled the trigger and got one. :)

abbazaba wrote:Initial impressions are very good! The smooth G10 really gives the knife a premium feel IMO, almost metal like. The construction is like the new linerless CF models: PB washers larger screws and clip like the lined G10 model, but floating stop pin like the linerless FRN model. It is noticeably lighter than the lined model, but not holy **** light like the FRN model. Forum member APS mentioned that the G10 edges have a larger radius than the lined model, which you can see in one of the pics below. The G10 is flat across the face, not contoured like the fluted Ti and CF models. The "3D machining" is probably in reference to the standard features of the regular G10 model. The light plays tricks with the smooth as glass G10, sometimes making it look lighter or darker than the 2013 forum Native, but I'm pretty sure it's the same color G10. I'd be very happy if this build took over production as the regular "G10" N5.

Initially I thought I would skip this one, but I'm glad I didn't. Man I love dark green G10!

is that the clip that came on it, or did you switch it? There is no hole in that clip, but the handle is drilled for a lanyard hole.

That's nice! Came in sharp, centered, free dropping, no blemishes. No surprises.

FRN may not see much action anymore...

Not one to call names, but..... this makes you a hoarder Roman. Seriously though, jealous of your Native dedication. I don't think i can resist any longer based on the provided pics. Thank you @abbazaba

Not really. All of them are different :)
The only N5, which I have two of the same is 2013 Forum knife. And one of them so much beaten up that some people will have difficulties to recognize Native

Surprisingly, the SE FRN Native is the only one I ever seem to carry of late. Thus my struggles to drop coin on this latest version. I think I'm going to hold out for the ATR.

Knifecenter really has been hitting it out of the park with their spyderco exclusives lately. The CF cruwear manix, then the pakkawood models, now this. Very well done.

The clip looks like it is black oxide, rather than painted. Can you confirm?
It is the same exact clip as the Black/Black PM2 Manix2. Odd because it does not have a lanyard hole.

Mine is not like yours abbazaba, mine has the hole just the clips on Delicas and Enduras.

Seems like you got a special one. Although my box did include two edge u cation papers.

Ya it's weird. I'm seeing the hole on all the other pics people have posted of the knife.

So, some of these have a clip with the pass-through hole for the lanyard and some don't?

The KC picture has the hole.

Just rec'd mine and it has a hole in the clip just like the KC pic.
I'll get some pics up this weekend, but initial impressions are that I love this knife!

Maybe it's just the one that abbazaba got, could have just been a stray clip that found its way into the wrong bin at the factory?

Mine came with a clip without a hole, a whole hole less clip.

I really like this knife. Nice job Spyderco and KC!
