Could you manage with 6?
Could you manage with 6?
Inspired by MissingMontana's thread (//forum.spyderco.com/viewto ... =2&t=75843), do you think you could manage with only 6 Spydercos? If so, which 6? (Pictures make everything better  )
I think I could (just) manage and it would have to be these 6.

Re: Could you manage with 6?
I could make due with just 3...a Military, a Dragonfly, and a Ladybug. The hard part is choosing which versions of each.

Re: Could you manage with 6?
Yes, I could get by with only 6. But I'd have a really hard time picking which 6 would make the cut. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about it.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Re: Could you manage with 6?
Sprig
Chaparral
Urban/Pingo/UKPK (I'd go with the Urban K390 of those three)
Dragonfly (I'd go with ZDP)
Manix 2 (I'd go with the Maxamet lightweight)
Southfork

Re: Could you manage with 6?
Six models, easy. Although I can't imagine a scenario where I'd want or need to limit myself in that way.
Stretch
Kiwi
Chaparral
Jester
K05 Small Utility
K08 Santoku
One specimen each of the first two, no way!

Re: Could you manage with 6?
Easily. I am pretty sure I could manage all my cutting needs in life with only 6 knives and I am pretty sure I could manage with only one Spyderco folder but what fun would that be? :) They would be mostly fixed blades as I love to cook and love the outdoors. I have tons of folders but I am fully aware that I could get by with only one.
1) Dexter Russell Chinese Cleaver (if I had a K08 Santoku it could go here as well)
2) Sprig (can be used as a paring knife and as a game processing knife)
3) Southfork ( I need a hunting knife and it can be used in the kitchen as a carving knife)
4) Rapala fillet knife (I hope Spyderco makes a fillet knife soon)
5) Bradley Bowie (a do everything hard use knife and a good knife for woods bumming)
6) Cruwear Military (It could easily be my only folder)
I would need my leatherman wave too. :)

Re: Could you manage with 6?
Pretty sure I could get by with just a plain edge S30V Military if I had to. If I'm forcing myself to take six, I'd also pack a K2, likely a Chinook 4 and 3 spare Milie's.
Re: Could you manage with 6?
I could but I don't want to! What fun would that be?
Re: Could you manage with 6?
ZDP Dfly
Cruwear Millie
XHP Manix LW and my GB could take care of anything that I need a folder for. I wouldn't pick a Spydie fixed blade. I have an old Ka Bar that looks like h#ll but that I would trust through anything.

Re: Could you manage with 6?
Easily.
1. Delica 4 hap40
2. Dragonfly salt
3. Junction
Honestly, I could stop right there.
4. Stretch hap40
5. Mantra 2
6. Hap40 dragonfly
Para 3 cruwear might replace the mantra if it grows on me enough

certainly. In today world even one is OK. One of my Native5 will do the job, but why?Eee wrote:do you think you could manage with only 6 Spydercos?
Can somebody here limit your self with
1. six tops (total, not each of six of :shirts, t-shirts, tank-tops, sweaters)
2. six pants (total, not each of : pants, slacks, jeans, shorts, sport shorts ...........)
You got an idea.
