Interesting find in CT.

Post by wotanson »

Hey all,

I am currently unemployed so I find myself with a little bit too much free time on my hands lately. last week I went to visit a friend in Trumbull, as I was driving east on Rt. 25 in Newtown I stopped at little log cabin building with a Spyderco banner hanging outside. I went in and found some :spyder: ies I have never seen before, well only in books. among his stock are;

Wegner CE
Wegner Jr. CE
Bob T C-15 CE
Diver probe, the one with the big prybar
Police PE G-10
Chinook 1
Worker in presentation box
Two Lum Tantos

I'm sure there were more, but it was interesting to see a bunch of Spydercos I've never seen in real life before, especially the Divers probe, very cool. He didn't have much new stuff by Spyderco, but was a nice guy who spent the time to talk knives with me, something I never get to do but here.

Cheers,

Rob

Wow, nice. I guess you don't find much of those 'collectibles' anymore in shops. I bet a few forumites are interested in purchasing a few of these.

That's a impressive list of collectibles, on eBay you'd be the man... :)

Hey,

Yeah, I know some of them fetch a pretty pfenning on ebay, some like the C-15, I've never seen on ebay, but the old hands are most nostalgic about that model in particular. The Divers probe was by far the coolest, Sal you are one inspired designer to come up with that one.

I'd say grab the 2 Wegners, the C15, the probe and the commemoration worker (maybe a LUM if it's PE titanium version), put some of them on eBay they'll pay for the one or two you'll keep :)
(that's in the case they're at a fair price at the shop...)
