I have not bought a knife for myself in six months due to funding issues and have been saving my money for this knife specifically. This and the HAP40 Caly3 may be the only two Spydies I can buy this year. This is very, very exciting news!!!! I haven't scratched that itch in quite a while!!!!

Besides the KW s90v Military, this Police 4 is another anticipated knife for me! I'm bringing some dough to Blade in hopes that the P4 will be there for purchase!

I am not sure. The advanced back lock is a Golden lock and this knife is made in Japan.

This might be the knife to get the ulize out of my pocket. I'll have to see where I stand financially when it's released.

Two things. Awesome! And, how am I going to hide this from the mrs!?

I sit on a couch playing with PM2, P3, Manix, Native. Not a peep. As soon as brought out my Military, she noticed. 'Is that a new knife? It's big!'

Somehow I think she will notice this one.

Hi,

been asking to Jurphaas who is with Sal at Annapolis if the Police 4 got a Inner Stop Pin (like the Chaparral) and he told me so.

Anyone as vertical play ? With this long knife it's very easy to check.

Cheers Nemo

Nemo, Mine has a tiny bit of wiggle, not enough for me to worry about it though.

Thank you !

Does it move in positive or negative ? Positive means when cutting on hard surface. Negative is trying to close the blade. :-)

No, it does not have the internal stop pin.

I took mine apart. :-)

The only two with that internal stop pin are the Sage4 and Chaps. They are made in Taichung. None of the Japanese Spydies have received it yet unfortunately.

It's negative, pushing on the spine while in the locked open position.

Mine is 99.9999999%* rock solid. To feel the 0.0000001% play, you have to try too push shut as hard as you can then quickly pull back as hard as you can. Even then, you will miss it if not careful.
