If cf is in the mix, I find the Carly 3.5 with cf and zdp to have very attractive and somewhat understated handle scales.
The CF used on the Caly series has always been a bit of a disappointment to me as it it typically looks tough, unfinished and dried out. It wouldn't be my first choice.

Personally not a huge fan of CF would rather have blue/orange Nishijin or polished white/ivory g10 or micarta. Something bright and loud. IMO the market is flooded with dull non exciting "earth tones"

Well I did say in my first post, I wanted them to release these next year because I have more spyderco's on my wish list than I can afford :o . Of course I hope it goes without saying that that doesn't mean I don't want any hints as to what the future Lum Tanto Sprint will look like :D

*edit
I think LiquidCobra's sprint ideas should be weighted heaviest for starting this thread (many have tried to revive the tanto, but this thread actually succeeded in getting Sals attention).

i know I cannot be the only one holding out hope that this happens. So many awesome ideas have been presented. I wonder which option had the highest likelyhood of making it into production?

Anybody else think it would be cool to enlarge the thumb hole to the current larger size and add jimping?

Not really. I'd like it just the way it is please. :) I didn't even know it had a small hole, but if that is the case then I say stick with it cuz it looks better that way.

That does look super sexy. Even as a larger knife, I'd be taking that thing out every chance I get just to show it off. Super unique!

The ivory white g10 that is on the Lil' Nilakka would be amazing on the Lum.

I think so too. That's my personal preference.

I think the marbled carbon fiber from the myrtle would be an awesome option too.

Yeah I really like this idea.

Would anyone be interested in a smurf blue version?
