I'm with you on that knife. That thing looks so, so good.

My next buy is almost certainly the Caly 3 HAP40 sprint. Also on the radar is the Meerkat HAP40 sprint, but that may or may not be an insta-buy. After those, it's the PAFlipper.

Of course, they could always pull the same thing they did at SHOT and announce a bunch of stuff at Blade... :p

Meerkat and Caly 3 out of the 2017 lineup. Almost all my Spydies i covet are old discontinued models. :)

I'm holding out a long-shot hope for a Sprint Run of the C-60 Ayoob in one of the supersteels this go around. Or a Sprint Run, TEMPERANCE 1 model in one of the newer/better blade steels>> yeah it's about time for a Sprint Run of one of the better fixed blade models

My next purchase will likely be the Rhino unless something unexpected pops up.
On my radar for future purchase are the D'Allara 3, Q-Ball, Para 3, wharnie-delica, lil nilakka, all black karahawk, and manbug salt.
next year so far, Shaman, Lil' Native, Lum Tanto Sprint.

Caly 3 HAP40 is the biggest one. I've also been interested in the Raffir Noble Chap and the Paul Alexander flipper.

But if I find one of those Raffir Chaps at the local store that's especially striking, I don't think I'll resist... :D

I'm kind of interested in the Brad Southard Hanan flipper. The only thing I'm uneasy about is the plunge grind...

Darn Dao. Spyderhawk H1. Chinook.

I think that about sums up my next 3 spyderco purchases unless they do like always and drop something totally unexpected before that.

Glad to see I'm not the only one waiting for the new Chinook. There are a few of us on here, but I thought I would have seen much more enthusiasm by now. This is probably the only knife I will buy for some time, and if I really like it I will buy a second. The only other ones I'm waiting for are the long rumored Military 2 and Native Chief, but those are just whispers.

So what is on your radar to get this year out of the 2017 yet-to-be-released knives? For me, I am patiently awaiting the PM2 in 52100, an SE Pacific Salt, and a set or 3 of throwing knives. After that, then I will think about stopping.

Well, maybe I would need  a PM2 in Maxamet and a wharnie Delica in some high speed steel if they ever come out with those. Hint, hint, Sal! :D
Wake me up when the Manix comes out in *laminated* 3V or S7.

Or whenever it comes out in 154cm again.

Nothing wrong with owning more than one Para 3. It's an awesome knife and maybe my favorite (except that clip placement!). It works like a bigger knife and feels like a bigger knife and has that great blade shape.

I like the one you've got your eye on VERY much and the all-black one looks great, too.

I'm also really hoping for a blurple/S110V production run and a green G10/204P exclusive.
Wishlist: Delica 4 FFG VG10, Manix 2 LW XHP, Military 204P and S110V, Para 3 Cruwear and S110V, Paramilitary 2 (all versions), SpydieChef LC200N, Caribbean PE and Sheepsfoot SE

Procured: Caly 3.5 VG10, Dragonfly 2 LW VG10, Manix 2 XL S30V, Native 5 LW S110V, Para 3 S30V, Paramilitary 2 S110V

I could go for 154cm but I don't see a point in a folder made from S7. It's not known for edge retention and unless you're using a folding knife as a jackhammer it seems like a wasted steel. 154CM could punch through car doors all day anyway.

I am so over "edge retention." I'm more interested in toughness now because of the way I use my knives. I'm the guy that uses the knife to pry stuff, scrape stuff off a surface, unscrew screws, etc. In all these respects s90v performs no better than 154cm but is vastly more time consuming to resharpen. S90v of course has superior edge retention, but I'm just tired of having to pay for it, especially considering that it's hardly useful for me. The vanadium hype has worn off. Bring the S7, Sal, show up Busse.

S7 in a chopper or hawk maybe. I was under the impression it was designed for impact/shock resistance. I thought it was used to make hammers. I have seen knives made from hammers and assumed they were S7 or similar.

What about some L6? I have read some good things about it. I have an S110V Military in my pocket but I have lots of love for tough basic carbon steels and use them often.

I just don't see this being something useful for a folder. You could buy a small pry tool for this exact purpose.

1. Caly 3 in HAP 40
2. Chaparral with Raffir Noble Handle
3. Purple PM2
4. Sage 2.
5. Native 5 in G10 (maybe - have not decided)
6. Techno

Already got this year:
1. Advocate
2. PM3
3. Mantra
4. Urban in K390

I might as well join the knife of the month club.
