Deep Carry Clips
Deep Carry Clips
I just discovered the miracle of deep carry clips. I have never been a huge fan of the PM2 because I felt like it was always poking me in the hip. But alas, I put a deep carry clip on it and it's like owning a whole new knife. It made me wonder how many folks on the board prefer deep carry clips and those who don't and why? Just wonderin'. Thanks.
Do right always. It will give you satisfaction in life.

I'm a big fan of deep carry clips and
I get most of mine from popscustomclips. Here's a pic of one of his on my Yojimbo2.

Re: Deep Carry Clips
I was checking out their clips on etsy yesterday. They have a lot of nice designs. Kind of hard to decide between a few of them lolholeshot wrote:I'm a big fan of deep carry clips and I get most of mine from popscustomclips. Here's a pic of one of his on my Yojimbo2.

The link or pic isn't showing, but that clip is actually one of the 2 front runners I liked the most. I'll be grabbing a new clip for my incoming m390 pm2 and that may be the one.holeshot wrote:Here's one of my PM2s with the Chevron clip.[attachment=0]image.jpegdeath-to-yancey wrote:I was checking out their clips on etsy yesterday. That's weird, both pics are showing up for me  Keep in mind that each clip is made to order and it can take several weeks.death-to-yancey wrote:The link or pic isn't showing, but that clip is actually one of the 2 front runners I liked the most. They look great on your knives. I checked out their site and they really do have some excellent clips.holeshot wrote:I'm a big fan of deep carry clips andI get most of mine from popscustomclips. Here's a pic of one of his on my Yojimbo2.

Keep in mind that John aka Pops can customize your clip, make it longer or shorter, I had him make me one with my initials and it turned out great. Oh yeah, after your fist order John will give you a 10% discount on any future orders :)jdw wrote:They look great on your knives. Re: Deep Carry Clips
I do not like a deep carry clip. Had one once. Couldn't get it out of my pocket.
Anyway, I like my knife to show. But then, maybe I'm compensating for something.

Re: Deep Carry Clips
I use deep pocket clips on nearly all knives that come with standard clips, otherwise I don't carry. Just my preference.
Re: Deep Carry Clips
They look abominable, I like Spyderco hourglass etc. clips, and I like something to grab on to. I also don't usually care who sees it, which raises the point, do y'all think people can't see the clip? Just sayin' 'cause you asked.

Re: Deep Carry Clips
Strangely enough, I can see your pm2 pic now, but it's in place of where your yojimbo 2 should be in the quoted text? Lol computers ammirite? But I do really like that, and I didn't know he would shorten up any of the designs and that would be perfect since that was the only complaint I had with the chevron design, I want a shorter clip than stock. Awesome. Thanks for the info!holeshot wrote:That's weird, both pics are showing up for me  Keep in mind that each clip is made to order and it can take several weeks.death-to-yancey wrote:The link or pic isn't showing, but that clip is actually one of the 2 front runners I liked the most. Re: Deep Carry Clips
I love the factory clips and I also love the deep ride ones as well. I carry in both configurations. If I have custom scales on a Spydie, then I have a custom clip. Factory knife, factory clip. I don't really care who sees my knife either, it's more a matter of liking different style clips that's all. Plethora of knives and accessories out there, choose what you like and who cares what anybody else thinks as long as you're happy with it?

Re: Deep Carry Clips
Glad someone said it. I've yet to see an after market clip that I like. They all look strange to me. That's a big reason I was so excited to hear that Spyderco would be making their own. Then they pulled the plug. Bummer.Jazz wrote:They look abominable, I like Spyderco hourglass etc. clips, and I like something to grab on to. Re: Deep Carry Clips
I find the ergos are best when the pocket clip is removed all together. I carry my Yojimbo and PM2's clipless in my right front watch/coin pocket of my jeans, total concealment, easy access, and a superior grip on the handle.

You also might want check out MXGGear too, they have a really nice shorter deep carry clip, just put one on my Para3 and it's perfect.death-to-yancey wrote:Strangely enough, I can see your pm2 pic now, but it's in place of where your yojimbo 2 should be in the quoted text?
