Need? Irrelevant. Do you want one? If so, go buy!

Do you need a millie? Yep. 100%. It's a big lump of a knife but it epitomises the Spyderco philosophy: elegant design that's as simple as possible (but no simpler), top quality workmanship and well chosen materials.
Yes, at first look, is too big to be anywhere near practical (at least it is here in the UK) but get your mitts on it and it seems to just fit (even if, like me, you haven't got hulk-sized paws!) I may be in the minority here but I prefer my millie's to my para2.
It'll be too pointy for some, too narrow for others and too delicate for the sharpened crowbar brigade but if you're a serious Spydie fan, it's a must!

Hahahahahahahaha!

Yes.
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Newest Spydies: S90v Ti Military, Pacific Salt and a special Kiwi.

I agree. It's a staple knife just like the FRN models. The Millie has been around way longer than a lot of their lineup. I grew up using Case and Schrade knives that didn't even have a lock on them. So the liner lock for me isn't an issue at all. The Millie can cut with some of the best knives out there, some costing 3 times as much. It was designed to be best at what a knife is for.....cutting. There aren't many that can match the cutting prowess of the Spyderco Military. If they can, then it's probably another Spyderco.

I handled one a couple years ago and liked it quite a bit.
Yes. That's all that really needs to be said. If you haven't put one to use yet in your own pocket you should at least try it. One of the best designs I've ever used for EDC purposes. And 204P and its brothers are absolutely some of the best stainless steels you can get ahold of right now.

I like the Paramilitary 2 way better than the Military for EDC b/c its a bit shorter plus it has a 4 way pocket clip and the Military does not.
