I bought mine from CS for $163. They jacked the price up on the next batch...

$190-something. Said they bought them at a premium from another dealer just to offer some. Gone gone gone now.

I poked around a little at lunch and the only ones I saw left were (2) at the mega-retailer that shall not be named. So is that it? Or will a few more batches still filter out to dealers?

Yeah Blade HQ has them for 170 still yet.

Mine showed up today. I'm pretty happy with it, super smooth and love that grey G10. Didn't have any issues with customs, sailed right through.

Re: Spyderco C81GPGY2 Paramilitary 2 CRU-WEAR
Been using mine off and on since I received it a few weeks ago (sadly its arrival was over-shadowed by another personal grail (wait is this sad?)) but was using it this morning on the job, setting a pump in a well. Lots of tape cutting, box opening and the sort. When I cut open the pump box, the apex made contact with the stainless body of the motor and chipped/rolled in a few places. Keep in mind this is still the factory edge w/ no micro bevel still. However I was a little surprised at the chipping that occurred only because my Manix 2 in Cru-wear always likes to roll vs chip and I really wasnt using a lot of force because the edge was slicing like butter. Wondering is this heat treat is a touch harder? I really liked that aspect of my M2 cru-wear because it was so tough and could get a wicked edge on it. Ill put my edge on it in the next few days, probably start at 18-19 per side with a 20-21 micro bevel.. suggestions here for med-hard uses? pics shortly..

You really realize how clued into (obsessed?) things you get, when you go to take a picture and the chipping is so minor, you cant even get a picture of it!

Is anyone still looking for a Cruwear PM2? I suspect that some still are. Wylaco has them at an excellent $140 price for Cyber Monday!

Considering these have been out of stock at most dealers for awhile this should be a great deal for someone!Capt'n Boatsalot wrote:Is anyone still looking for a Cruwear PM2? I suspect that some still are. Wylaco has them at an excellent $140 price for Cyber Monday!

Looks like someone already snagged them. When I posted, they were listed as In Stock. Now they show 2-3 days.Sharp Guy wrote:

I had mine reground to 0.010 BTE at REK and am really happy with the outcome. I like the idea of taking advantage of the added toughness of CruWear via a thinner grind.
Here is a not so great pic:

Having regrinded para2 I must admit Sal & Eric professionalism in understanding the knife as a completed system.
Regrinded Para2 cuts well, but it is not Para2 anymore: it lack it toughness feeling after regrind.
Besides that, cuts well. Here's mine:

Mine cru-wear para2 is just right behind the edge, ~0.6mm, slightly thicker than s110v para2, but cutting force almost the same.

Yeah, it does make it more fragile. A thin grind would not work out well for lots of folks.
I normally have a fixed blade for tougher work when doing outdoorsy things so having a really thin folder works for me.
