Not so interested in the steel but will buy any Para2 in SE or CE (i expect it probably has 3/4 to 1 inch plain tip).

Out of the two, will probably only try for the SE. Very happy about this. Maybe the first step towards more SE.

A CE PM2 would be epic, IMHO, even though I am not a PM2 guy. Still, pretty neat news. ;)

Hmm... liking the options, but I'm still most excited about the M4/CF.

Where have you been hiding a CE Para2 all these years!? Is it a Willey knives custom job?

We need a review please... :p

By George...

Though, ya know, I'm still not that into carbon fiber. Probably pass, but a lot can happen in a year (or two...). Still waiting for arctic camo!

Darby, come on man, you can't drop a megaton-sized pic like that on us without an explanation! That is a true Spyderedge done by the factory there in Golden by the looks of it. You must have brought them some really good cookies or something! ;) Cheers, RS

It is a factory second I picked up this past fall. I sent it out to Willey Knives to have the serrations added. I haven't posted many pics because I don't really ever carry it. It seemed like a great idea at the time but as of now it has mostly just been sitting in the drawer. When I get the time I will start a thread on it with some more pics. It has a bevel on the back side of the blade so it is a bit different than a factory edge.

Unfortunately no picture and it appears that they're due Fall 2017. At least I'll have plenty of time to replenish my knife budget.

jabba359 wrote:That serrated version has a really weird SKU. Usually they read:
Model number - handle material - edge configuration - handle color (if different than normal) - steel variation (if different than normal) - model generation (not always consistently applied, as the Para 2 sometimes ends in a "2" and sometimes a "P2" and other times omitted altogether).

C81PSCFP52100
C81 - Model number
PS - Usually means partially serrated, so perhaps this one is not fully serrated? Also, the blade edge configuration normally follows the handle material in the SKU.
CF - carbon fiber
P - ??? This is where the edge configuration would normally go (right after handle material), but since this is the serrated version this should read "S" if that was the case. So I'm not sure what this P means.
52100 - steel

Following Spyderco's usual SKU pattern, I would have expected the SKU to be: C81CFS52100
The way I read it:
C81PSCFP52100
C81 (PM2)
PS (Plain Serrated)
CFP (CF Peal Ply)
52100
