Yup, I agree, but there it sits. This one will be interesting to watch. I know it was a super fast sellout but you have to figure half of them went to flippers. I think guys will ask big money but if there's over a thousand for sale on the aftermarket, the oversupply should keep prices out of the stratosphere. I think prices will spike then settle down once the true level of supply reveals itself. We'll see. I always find these things to be interesting economic studies.swigert wrote:That's stupid.Surfingringo wrote:Plus the price. That's the biggest difference imo. I agree. With so many out there. I bet they end up at a little over $200 on the secondary.Surfingringo wrote:Yup, I agree, but there it sits. This one will be interesting to watch. Well, at least one ebayer has a more reasonable asking price of $255 obo. And before anybody asks; no it's not me. lolswigert wrote:I agree. With so many out there. I agree, bet these level off at $200-$250 once the rush is over, especially with 2400 out there. The 204P exclusive is a good comparison and its regularly available NIB in the lower $200 range, the M390 still seems to be pulling around $300.

Selling out this fast is going to make this one legendary status though. Nothing to compare it too.

Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
The 204P sold pretty fast, not sure exactly how fast but it went in one day I believe. Although that may have just been the 400 piece re-release, I ended up missing that one and had to resort to the secondary, I think I ended up paying 2 bills BNIB.

Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
I think a lot of people are counting on this thing being very desirable and valuable on the secondary market.
I also think that maybe 80% of the market won't spend an extra dollar to get CPM-M4 over a CPM-S30V para.
1. It stains.
2. It rusts.
3. You need to take care of it.
4. The edge retention is similar to CPM-S30V.
After a couple of people buy them for a dumb price, I don't see them selling for $300. I don't see people holding onto them like the CPM-M4 Military. Don't forget, for whoever wants a M4 Para, they can wait a few months and get a Carbon Fiber one for $200-ish.
The market kind of has a high value of the S110V Green G-10 Native because they sold out in 2 hours, too. Maybe the limited availability is enough to sell some of them.
Albeit, this is a pretty awesome knife that is very long overdue. Being overdue is probably why the market likes it so much.
I guess now we wait and see what the market thinks of it.
Also, since this is so reasonably priced, I would like to see them do a re-order and get more of these in people's hands.

Couldn't agree more Brian, the market is a fickle beast. :D

Some dude down the street that likes to hang out on street corners and drink wine told me that his aunts brothers sisters second cousin told him that there were 6312 made lol.
Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
I like M4 and I wanted one to carry and use. I don't intend to sell mine within the foreseeable future. But I do think they will sell relatively high on the secondary market. OTOH there were likely a lot of them bought by the scammers so supply and demand might water down the secondary market a bit.Donut wrote:I think a lot of people are counting on this thing being very desirable and valuable on the secondary market

I don't think they are very close. I have a Manix 2 in M4 and a Manix 2 in S110V. I tested them side by side cutting cardboard and the M4 did better than the S110V, which usually does substantially better than S30V. But granted the average user might not be able to tell that much difference.Donut wrote:4. The edge retention is similar to CPM-S30V

More than a little bit janky...and I suspect it might even be a violation of ebay's terms, especially since it's a BIN auction. I would never buy anything from that seller.tvenuto wrote:Seems a little bit janky to put up a listing for something you don't actually have in your possession yet. I like how they even stole BHQ's photos. Pretty hard to take a picture of something you don't have, I guess.
Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
Anyone know if for the free shipping option if they sent shipping info or tracking?
Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
Yes they do send tracking number for USPS First Class Mail.swigert wrote:Anyone know if for the free shipping option if they sent shipping info or tracking?
If you didn't get a shipment notification email I suggest checking the BladeHQ Order Status page.

Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
Anyone planning on forcing a patina on theirs??
Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
With 2,300 for sale direct from BladeHQ no wonder they were resistant in releasing the numbers when asked directly online on BF.
Glad they sold out so fast but I would've preferred it if they had limited it to one per person at least the first sale date. That way more people would've gotten one and fewer to the eventual flippers/profiteers.
Flippers/profiteers are a fact of life and it doesn't faze me one bit anymore since a lot more of each Sprint/Exclusive are being produced. I assume there'll be a lot of these on the secondary market and in such quantities only a modest increase for those willing to wait.

Did that. Must just not have gone through yet. They did lots of shipping today lol.RamZar wrote:Yes they do send tracking number for USPS First Class Mail.swigert wrote:Anyone know if for the free shipping option if they sent shipping info or tracking?

Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
The large quantity of these released will mean less huge profit by flipping which means good things going forward as people who actually want the knives will likely have a better chance to get one. I passed on it, I love M4, love the comp lock, but the handles aren't my favorite and M4 is plentiful. Still, the speed at which it sold out is fascinating.

Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
With KW having an M4 para2 coming with CF for around $200 I don't see flippers being able to get much more than that for this one. Also, I would not be too worried if I was KWs. This is probably a good sign that their run should be quite successful too.
I am not surprised at the limit of three. With offering free shipping you stand to make a lot more money if you ship out a lot less packages by allowing people to buy three. A limit of one per person will increase shipping costs and cut into your margin.
Overall I would say that BHQ executed this very well in many ways.

Natural G10 definitely reminds me and I think a few others of GITD. Imagine getting your knife and that night realizing that your knife is glowing?! haha
