Tom, I agree with most of what you said, except the ugly as **** digital camo. I have all the paramilitary knives and the one I nearly always carry is the digi camo black blade C81GPCMOBK. Why, I just love the camo and think it is gorgeously badass. :D

I don't absolutely hate the digi. I mean I love the color sage, A lot. I have a lot of gear and clothing in sage. It's a cool color. You see...I have this other set of clothing...that was given to me....in the same color and digi pattern ;) ...so I don't really desire a knife to match it.

But, on an odd note, the digi with the satin blade looks awesome. What has me concerned about ordering the digi is getting a digi with too much "yellow" tint in it. The yellow or tan tint is the ugly part. You know what I mean?

I think if I were going to order the digi I'd probably rit dye it. Hmmmmmm.

Cool Tom. I agree that too much yellow in the digi camo will ruin the look for me as well.

Yeah, I only have one PM2 (so far), and it's the digi camo, black blade version. I opted for that one since I have other knives with black handles and satin finishes...though none of those are of the quality of the PM2. I just wanted a different look. It's clipped to my pocket most times, though today it's a Manix 2 LW.

I've heard of people doing this for a long time but never messed with it until today.

I always thought, meh, the improvement is probably good but marginal... I was wrong. The difference is very noticeable. I didn't even get too aggressive, but the edges of the scales are just buttery smooth in hand now. I also noticed that rounding out the inside edges was just as impactful to grip comfort if not moreso than rounding outside edges (presumably since they were sharper to begin with). Thanks for putting it back on my radar!

Digicam wasn't my first choice, but I scored this when PM2s were still hard to find at reputable dealers and jumped on the first one I found available. I thought about a dye job at first, but it grew on me :)

You're welcome Nate! I'm glad it made a difference. It transformed my Native 5 from blocky and uncomfortable to buttery smooth, like you say. ;)

Good choice for #2 Tom, the S110V is one of my very favorite, the one I got is probably the best PM2 I've gotten yet, plus S110V is some amazing steel just don't let it get too dull, I touch mine up often. I hate to say though, it probably won't be your last. :D

I know it won't be my last. I won't let it get too dull either. I never expected the color of the G-10 to be so weird though. In natural light the blue just pops. It's amazing how bright the color is. However, in artificial light/low light the purple just comes out something fierce. LOL

I am a new PM2 owner, (I have a full 24 hours under my belt now), and am really happy with this purchase. The ergo's are indeed great and jimping is by far the best I have on my knives. Like the OP, I figured one day I would end up with one, but more based on the fact that there seem to be a few "must own" Spydies that all serious Spyderco Enthusiast should own. I wasn't overly drawn to the aesthetics initially, but it has grown on me quite a lot and I am very happy with it so far.
