Gayle Bradley 2

I was really hoping to get one of these for my upcoming 50th birthday. However, it seems that they are on hold from the factory and have been for a few months. Does anyone have an idea of the ETA for the next shipment?

I'm also open to other suggestions for a Spyderco Birthday purchase if the GB2 is not going to be available for quite awhile. My current Spyderco collection consists of the following:

Military - S30v black handle
Para 2 - S30v black handle
Manix LW - S110v
Endura - VG10 Grey
Delica - VG10 Orange
Pacific Salt - Yellow Full Ser
Salt 1 - Yellow
Native 4 - Hollow Grind, FRN
Gayle Bradley 1
Delica - HAP40 Burnt Orange

New Graham Knives have the GB2 in stock and are an excellent authorized dealer (free band-aids!). GB2 is an amazing value, but much different than the GB1.

If you're looking for something else in the price range, I noticed there is no Sage or Chaparral on your list (both must haves IMO). If M4 is what you are after, one of the Mantra's will treat you well.

Sorry to distract from the OP's question but how does the GB2 compare to the GB1? I have the 1.0 version and adore it; mostly curious your thoughts.

OP, everything on that list looks great to me :D. My GB1 is one of my favorite Spydies tho.

Knife Center & Knife Works are showing the GB2 in stock as well.

I'm with abbazaba, the Sage & Chaparral would be great editions to your collection. I haven't tried a Mantra yet but I'm trying to rectify that.

Thanks for the heads up abbazaba. I need to check NGK again. The last time I looked they only had GB1s available.

Also, thanks for the suggestions. I've have the Chap and Sage on my gotta have list but just haven't been able to pull the trigger on them yet. That compression lock Sage5 looks AWESOME but then I'm right back on the pre-order train. I'm kicking myself for waiting too long to grab a GB2.

I may be internet shopping challenged but I just checked NGK, knife center and knife works and all only show GB1 in stock. Keep in mind that I am about to turn 50 so it's VERY possible that I'm missing something.

Also, to the post from Blerv, no worries on a possible derail here at all. I welcome more discussion on the GB1 vs 2. A search on this forum for the 1 vs 2 does have a lot of info though.

Ah,,, so it is true that I'm stupid. :p I also just found it on knife works. Very sorry to anyone from those two very good vendors for my fumbling attempt at searching your sites! Ok, I will now go back to my regularly scheduled life of being stuck in 1980. Thanks everyone for the help!!

I can vouch for the Chaparral, as well as the Mantra. They're both spectacular. The only reason I don't have a Sage is because my brain was having trouble with the problem I like to call "Schrodinger's Sage" where I open a box and I don't know if I want it to be a Sage 1 or Sage 2. Turns out the answer is Sage 5...

If your still open to suggestions let me suggest getting the Knife Works Exclusive Military. I mean if you really wanna treat yourself then this would be a great one to get. The new style Militarys are awesome.
Good luck on the hunt!

Excellent! Just last night I directed a member over on BF to the GB2 at NKG. Looks like you got the last one. I think SSK has them in stock too. At least they allow you to add 1 to your cart and proceed to check out.

Yea I noticed Kenny still has some over at SSK, how much was it at NGK? I'm still amazed at how much knife you get for the money with the GB1 & 2. :)
Happy to be part of this great forum and group of down to earth spyderco addicts, Thanks Sal and gang.
