I've been eyeing the Para2 and watching YT videos. Great reviews. I've planted the seed with my wife and kids when they asked for gift ideas for Fathers Day. ;)

I've worn out my forgiveness when not once, but twice I bought two high-end Sage fly rods before consulting with the one who must be obeyed. :D

Sal as in Sal Glesser?

Michael given the :D in your post am I to take from it that you designed or were involved in the design of this knife?
Hi Marty,

Sorry for the confusion with my smiley face. :o The Delica is actually one of Sal's many well-known masterpieces. I'll never be able to design knives as well as The Man himself. :)

Sal is indeed Mr. Sal Glesser. :D
Hey Marty, welcome to the forum. The Delica is indeed one of Sal's designs. What Michael failed to mention though is there is a brand new Spyderco coming out soon that he DID design. Check out the Michael Reinhold Rhino here. https://spydercollector.wordpress.com/2 ... old-rhino/

Overzealous IT restrictions. I had to use my smartphone to get around the company's site access restriction. Nice looking knife. Thanks Surfingringo for bring this to my attention. Love the shape of the entire knife. Your eyes are drawn from one end to the other. Nice design Michael Reinhold.

Proceed with caution. It can become addictive. My first spydie was a Delica 4.

When I got home tonight my package was waiting for me. I wasn't disappointed. I put pics in the gallery. My daughter helped me and in her edit cropped a tad too much. Lol

Great first choice on the Delica! I do not have one yet.... My first Spydie was the Byrd Cara Cara 2 in Purple FRN. Just loved it when I got it and wondered how much better could an actual Spyderco be? Of course I had to find out and bought the Tenacious in Black G-10. I REALLY liked that one and then the next day I bought a Byrd Raven 2 in Black G-10 and a Endura in Purple FRN. Then the day after that I bought an Resilience in Black G-10. Then the day after that I bought a Manix 2 XL in Black G-10 and a Paramilitary 2 in Black G-10. Almost done. Then the day after that I bought a Paramilitary 2 in Camo.... and so on and so on. Apparently I have an addictive personality. I can't stop buying them. I just bought another Para 2 in Camo from a gentleman here in the for sale section. It was a great deal, I had to!
Anyway, looking forward to seeing your Delica, I'm off to go shopping for one right now....

Welcome to the forum Marty! Great choice as a first model :D
Let's see how long it'll take till you get your second in! :p

(and third... and fourth... and twenty second)

A wolf has teeth.
An eagle has talons.
We, have Spyderco.

Marty_E wrote:Hi All, New member here. This past Sunday I placed my very first order for a Spyderco. A Delica 4. I did so after handling one at a small nic nac shop. I was impressed with it solid feel and fit and finish. It felt substantial. Not heavy, but built to last. I can't wait until it arrives.
I just joined the site as well.

I've lived my entire 54 years without ever carrying a knife but within the past month, have been "bitten" and now own an Ambitious, a Dragonfly 2, and just received a Delica 4 FFG yesterday :)

Now that I've been bitten, when do my spydie powers show up; can't wait to swing between buildings and have super human strength....LOL
