Welcome wmpy
I agree that the Delica is a great knife. It's thin and light but feels great in the hand. I love VG10 and it takes a wicked sharp edge. There are many color and steel options (handles too). The Dragonfly 2 is another favorite. Good ergos and cuts like crazy. I've shopped and bought a few knives recently at local knife shops.
The Seki-City knives had some hit and miss quality. I noticed on a couple knives (Delica/DF2) that the lock bar was noticeably not flush when the knives were open. They still seemed to lock up OK but I wouldn't buy them. A couple others were not very smooth opening. Some had blades way off center. (I consider that a problem).
However, the majority of them were very good.
I tend to buy the more common, high volume selling knives that offer a great value. Many are in the $100ish-$130 range. For example:
Manix 2 G10 about $100 (outstanding value)
Manix 2 LW BD-1 about $80
Manix 2 LW S110V about $110
Paramilitary 2 about $125
Sage 1 about $125
Sage 3 about $130
Military I found new for $120 (not a big fan). Most people love the knife.
Yojimbo 2 about $120 (best value knife I own)
Gayle Bradley 2 about $120 ? (On my list to buy)
None of those are back locks and all are great value for the money.
For $30 more there is a huge difference between an Endura and the Manix 2 G10 for example. The Endura is still a good knife (not my favorite).
There are many more knives of good a quality that are cheaper. But, I've found it's worth spending a little more to get something like the knives I listed.

Delica 4 is my favorite edc for outside the office, my DF is my favorite edc for in the office. Both are highly refined, and fantastic. I only have an aus 8 DF would love a vg 10, g10

When I browse knives on the interwebs the only 2 brands out of 50+ I have 0 interest in are BM, CS and I dont know why.
